crashing out about dad irving and his daughter helly. thinking about like. wait let me put it into bullet points bc as a block of text is it unpalatable. okay wait dad!irving and his daughter!helly:
him leaning over to rub her cheek when he leaves work and tells her not to work too hard.
watching her while she's working to make sure she's doing well and feeling motivated and happy.
noticing she's chilly and coming over to drape his jacket over her shoulders so she feels a little warmer.
getting her a snack with his second token and leaving it on her desk to make sure she's eating enough.
she shows him things when she finishes them and gets so excited when he tells her she's done well or that she's a smart girl or that it's a good job.
he helps refine her drawing and teaches her more skills and shadows and depth and they pass drawings back and forth together.
maybe they even do a little father-daughter dance during a music dance experience.
ough also wait helly accidentally calling irving "dad" and neither of them really minds it so they just keep doing it. like he probably said "good work, helly!" and she just kinda laughed and said "aw. thanks, dad" and they both just. felt nice about it.
and after that she keeps calling him "dad" and he probably also starts calling her little dad nicknames little like. goofy things. hey gumball. hey sweet pea. hey ping pong. hey noodle. hey sassafras. don't know what some of those are but hey!!
oooooof the dad hugs are incomparable i know that much.
they definitely have a little secret father-daughter handshake maybe.
and when he notices she's sad he goes and sits next to her and pats her on the back and lets her hug him and cry.
oh god. the day they say "i love you."
it's just. you know. helena has a father. helly has a Dad.
i can't i'm sorry i have to stop oh my fucking goddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd i'm gonna go fucking ballistic.
