Are you too busy?
ISAIAH 54
On average we spend 30 days a year on our phones... That means we only have 11 months in a year. What are we busying ourselves with? Our phones, social media, TV, netflix?
This is something we all hear so often. But on Sunday I was at church and it changed my perspective completely. I had never thought about it in this way.
If we are too busy and have every part of our day, our week and our life filled.. we are leaving no space for God.
Change wont happen if we are too busy- MAKE SPACE.
We go on our phones to look at peoples best lives and compare it with our worst life. Stop worrying about other peoples lives because it is wasting time of your own.
But your phone and TV and laptop aren’t your problem- YOU ARE.
God wants to fill us but are you already full of other stuff?
The more space you make the more space for God. For miracles.
Space= breeding space for miracles. If we are so stuck to our routine and our life we are leaving nothing for God. Its like a friendship. Make time or the relationship will disappear. But unlike a normal relationship, the God won’t go anywhere, he will always be there, but you wont.
We use the fact God is always there as a comfort blanket. We rely on the fact he will never leave us. But this leaves God at a basic part of our life. No depth. No meaning. No proper relationship. We grow closest to those who we spend most time with. Who we confide in. Who we trust. So spend time with God, confide in him, let him be your go to and trust in him.
Make space. Make time.
He should be our priority? So move the things that stop that. Make him your priority. We need to make our relationship with God a constant priority. Above all else.
All the extras we have in life? they are an attach on our space.
Some tips???
Set aside a few times a week to be alone with God. You and Him. I know it is way easier to have a relationship with him in a social environment. But what about when you are alone? If there is nothing there when you are alone, the relationship is fake. Make it real. Make it amazing. Make space.
He made space for you!!!

Moments. In our lives we endure thousands of memories and moments. We let things pass us by without stopping to appreciate it. God has given us the most beautiful home. Mountains and seas, animals and plants and the people we have around us. So many times in life we will wish we had paused and taken a moment to notice and appreciate what was going on around us. Recently I have noticed how quick living I am. I do things but concentrate on what is coming next instead of appreciating the now. Take a breath, stand still and take a moment to remember whats going on around you. Don’t let things pass you by because you want whats coming next. We forget in the good times to thank God for what we have around us. We forget that he has provided us with the good times. We find it easier to seek God in the bad times when we need help or reassurance. But God is just as important, if not more, in the good times as he is in the bad. Take a breath. Stand Still. Take a moment. AND BE THANKFUL TO GOD. ‘He says, Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. ’ Psalm 46:10,11
