Clara: So this is the Doctor, my boyfriend. Isn't anybody gonna say hello?

Dave: Wait a minute, I think I have seen you before. Have we met? You look exactly like that man we had accidentally hit a ball back when Clara was a child, and it was a long time ago.

Clara: (looks at the Doctor with shock)

The Doctor: Um...(Remembering the time he was kicked in the head by a ball and met the younger Oswalds)

The Doctor: ...no?

Clara: *introducing Twelve* Um, this is Th- I mean, John Smith, he's my-

Twelve: - boyfriend. I'm Clara's boyfriend.

Clara: *shocked, before flashing a forceful smile* Um... He's a doctor.

Twelve: But you can call me The Doctor. Everyone calls me that.

Dave: He looks older than me, what happened to that naked Swedish bloke you had introduced to us as your boyfriend last Christmas? I remembered he was also called The Doctor.

Twelve: Ah, that unfortunate Christmas dinner, I was so out of it that time.

Nearly 3 years since Time of the Doctor, and our last look at Dave Oswald, who just like the Doctor regenerated that Christmas!

The top picture shows Dave Oswald (Michael Dixon) meeting Ellie (Nicola Sian/Thorp, now more famous for her campaigning against sexism in the workplace, over high heels)

Second is Dave with the young Clara

The third picture shows Clara with her boyfriend with her father in 2005. It gets a bit awkward now, seeing that Michael is only 3 years older than Jenna, with her meant to be under 20, and him meant to be in his mid 40s!

Hence in Time of the Doctor he regenerated into someone completely different! (James Buller) That’s quite a change in barely 10 years, he even sounds completely different :-)
