Appearing on Jubilee’s Surrounded, Rubin was given a simple challenge. Name one indicator that’s better now than when Trump took office. GDP, inflation, unemployment, anything. Instead, Rubin pivoted to tariffs, then the stock market, then tried turning the question back on his opponent.
The audience noticed. Every attempt to change the subject drew more laughter, while his opponent rattled off statistics and kept returning to the same question. By the end, even some conservative viewers were asking why Rubin agreed to do the show in the first place.
