ooooh okay well. he's an interesting character, definitely. i think, while he doesn't really admit it, he has some issues about being the 'real' dave or not and being shoved to the side as 'just a sprite'.

during the original game session, serving as a sprite kept him preoccupied for the most part, but once john, jade, and him got onto the ship and he stopped having a job to do as a sprite, i think it started to take more of a toll on him, especially with how john and jade kind of... leave him out of things in the beginning? i think he pushes them away more because he doesn't feel like he belongs with them, and that for jade especially he's only a temporary replacement for the main dave.

i'm not a huge fan of regular davejade (i'm davekat trash, sorry lol) but i like jade and davesprite together. they've got the shared experience of being a sprite/part sprite on top of having spent all that time together on the ship.
