and by the way i do not like it when people act like david was a good guy in life is strange 2 because he still felt spiritually republican #toMe telling Sean that he would maybe give a better life to daniel if he turned himself in very Not Subtly hinting that he should *think* before crossing the border and that The Best Decision would perhaps be to give himself to the cops (that have killed their father and mind u, have driven them to this point of no-return and intense desperation) and all of that in the Most Patronizing way ever.. u have been in the military and have been treated with extreme privilege by the police your entire life because of it youre a white man in a white-centered country and have been surrounded by mostly white people for more than half of your life u have no idea what police brutality is, u have no idea how jail treats people of color, u have how unfair court is to poc, u a grown adult rationalizing the thought of turning yourself to the police to a brown child who’s relying on himself to survive and has been lost and deprived of an adult (esp a masculine & rational) figure for months WITH NO ACTUAL KNOWLEDGE of what youre even talking about. the closer to the border they got the more doubt was growing in both daniel and sean’s minds about whether or not it was a good idea and Sean *alone* had to try and explain to his little brother that they were not bad people because they were running away and i understand that karen was on their side but she was also very passive about it all.. obviously she was hesitant to step in considering the fact that she had not actually been their mother for years now but ultimately sean was so very isolated and in need of guidance and the only guidance he actually got was a white guy sitting him down and going "mmm maybe jail is a good option after all :// yea ik youve been running from the very prospect of it and losing yourself bit by bit in the process but i met some nice cops before idk u should give it a try ://" like hello somebody kill that guy idc if he wasnt shouting and hitting at sean the way he was at chloe idc that he’s sorta sad about chloe being dead in the bay route he did Not have a redemption arc he did Not redeem himself and he’s so very lucky Max & Chloe even accepted to try and get along w him again…. i hated that he acted like Chloe’s dad too calling himself her 'old man' and shit and listen i loved hearing tiny bits of post-storm pricefield’s life but i genuinely hated that he did not face the consequences of his abuse on his step-daughter like ok maybe after what happened Max&Chloe didnt want to Never Speak To Him Again but GOD u are not this woman’s dad please i beg stay away from her
