i have toughts about nathan and yet again it just shows ppl dont understand grooming
nathan was always going to be a bad person, he was born privileged, white, rich, he wouldve essentially been a male victoria
but his mental illness, whatever it is, the overmedication, the lack of help he got, the abuse of his father which mainly stems from privilege and being rich and masculinity and patriarchy, basically all of that results in a bully becoming an unstable angry person
now what i saw said is that nathan still killed rachel, that he still drugged chloe, that he still drugged kate, etc, etc, that he wouldve done that wether jefferson was involved or not
and see this is where i disagree, i don't think he wouldve done all of it without the influence of jefferson because all of those things are basically things jefferson did, drugging, photography, etc, or atleast he wouldn't have done all of it with the jefferson lens attached, maybe he wouldve drugged someone its impossible to know but probably not with the intention of doing anything let alone photograph them
so for example i think that without jefferson's influence he wouldve still aimed the gun at chloe, etc bcs of his instability and violent tendencies, even if i do think his goal isnt ever to hurt anyone to the point of death (in the bay ending hes visibly panicked and the fact he pulled the trigger is because of his twitch, he even says it himself with his voicemail) i think the way he operates with rachel and chloe only came because of jefferson's influence, and the fact nathan was desesperate for jefferson's approval and to make him proud, the fact he overdosed rachel and drugged chloe was only to mimic jefferson
what im mainly saying is that nathan already had predisposition to violence and *was* violent, but jefferson turned that violence towards making nathan an accomplice/scapegoat obssesed with him
