Dave Tate Releases Captivating Record “The Adventure”

Dave Tate’s new album ‘The Adventure’ dives headfirst into the uncertainty of life, the dark and the light, the heavy and the easy, and the balance of walking between them. The Adventure represents a journey of learning to trust in one’s own strength in the face of circumstance. While most of Tate’s solo music leans towards a mellow singer-songwriter vibe, much of ‘The Adventure’ departs into Alternative, Acoustic Rock, and Adult Contemporary territory. Tate’s powerful and angelic range sometimes resembles that of Jeff Buckley, while his hushed voice can bring up echoes of Paul Simon. On ‘The Adventure’, Tate’s guitar style and songwriting can at times be reminiscent of John Mayer. From the intimate folk on The Solitude of Here, The Same Heart, The Final Hour, The Houses of Healing, and Anima, to the Indie/Pop/Rock: Many Miles, Home is in the Stars and Rising Up. 

When living in Salt Lake City, Tate met Swedish singer-songwriter Victoria Lagerström, a former Ms. Sweden, who came to the US from Stockholm to write and record with Tate. The couple soon fell in love and, three weeks after her arrival were married among the red rock cliffs of Zion. Lagerström never used her return ticket to Sweden. The couple now often performs as a duo, or with a full band under the name Many Miles.

Fashion and Coffee

This month I want to talk about using man bags otherwise known as a purse. I have two of them along with a sling backpack. The sling backpack is the size of a purse but is great if I just need to walk to the store of just the coffee shop. It will hold all the basics along with my reusable cup. If I want to bring my laptop I will bring one of my computer bags. The only time here this bag sucks to use is them its hot out since I do sweat a lot. 

For when its hot out and I do not need anything big I will use my Micheal Kors leather bag. Its the smaller of my two bags but it will hold my keys, wallet, and sunglasses. Its great when I take my car places and do not need to carry everything with me. Its also a great bag for when I go to the store in my skinny jeans since my cellphone takes up to much space in my pocket. I will put it in my back pocket but I am still getting use to carrying it there. 

When I need to carry more with me I take out my Coach bag. Its my bottomless pit bag that I can loose stuff in. It does have more pockets to prevent this but it still happens. One good thing about this bag is I can keep my cellphone in it but keep it in a pocket that is close to me. Plus when I use this bag I feel more feminine but in a good way. I see why women love having purses. 

Hopefully sometime soon I will be able to add a third bag to my collection. I will probably be one of those guys that will end up with more bags then he needs. I can see how women go overboard with purses and having different ones for different occasions. I do need to get a small clutch that I can move from bag to bag for when I do not need a wallet. I have my main wallet along with an accordion wallet. Which is great because it has a zippered coin spot in it! 

I also found a company that sells heeled boots in my size. The company is called David Tate and they have several short boots that I want to get to wear. Along with the Dr Marten Jadons they will be my next few shoes purchases outside of work shoes. I also need to start wearing more of the shoes I already heave to get them out of my closet to make space for the new ones.
