Maybe what I am going to say it´s obvious to everybody but I just realized TKK is a modern David x Goliath tale.
I was researching some good David x Goliath paintings and drawings and I´ve found a lot of good stuff, like this one:
Together with them the Google gave me some Judith pictures and some beheaded Medusa.
I don´t want to enter into religious debate, I am just here for the lecture of the images and the usually good meaning and message behind, no matter the gods.
So I was thinking about the diferences of the images between the one with a woman with the head of a man in his hands, a man with the head of a cursed woman and a small man with the head of a giant. What they are telling us? And it pop up to my mind that the last one is about the destruction of the ego. Duh!
The weaker and smaller guy is destroying the pride of the gigantic ego represented by the other warrior.
So since I am an incorrigible fangirl I had to bring it to our favorite dudes and their different sizes, fragile Daniel and he-man Johnny.
And folks that´s a good explanation for why Daniel had to hit the head of Johnny. Even if it was ilegal. It had to be in the head.
(also you can think it as a symbol for a kid slaying the adult arrogance, what works here too, since Kreese lost his temper after the fight)
Now time to think about Judith and Perseus.
