I’m doing okay, I had to take a couple hits to calm myself down (It’s legal where I am, also medicinal, so no worries lol).
I just wasn’t expecting the PTSD visuals and they kinda got to me because I was diagnosed with PTSD years ago and have dealing with the aftermath of it and what goes into healing that kind of mental illness, it’s a hell of slog really. The visualization of it were just really really well executed, like kudos to the show runners for managing to capture those moments when you have flashbacks that are so visceral and consuming that you freeze and you lose yourself to them. I just wasn’t expecting to see it in gif form on my dash, over and over again. And since I don’t watch LITA, I was kind of blindsided by it. I’ve blocked most of the LITA tags for the moment, just until the excitement from today’s episode dies down a little bit. Because I have nothing against anyone who wants to watch it and like I said, the visuals were really well done and I respect the artistry that the people working on the show have and used to be able to get that feeling across so well. I really do hope that the storyline has a respectful ending, because PTSD is not something that is shown in a lot in media unless it’s tied to some sort of military story typically. So I think Sky’s story is important and I hope that it turns out good, I’m just personally going to be more careful when it comes to micro dosing any type of LITA content on my dash in the future, just in case.
