Well, I'm going to request about the bath scene with Jonah, Gabriel and Vittorio, As I said, I really liked the first part and you managed to write the survivors' personalities perfectly. I thank you in advance if you make the request.
I absolutely can! Please enjoy!
Taking a Bath With Them
Vittorio, Gabriel, Jonah
Vittorio Toscano
A bath huh?
He's definitely in between yes and no.
Part of him thinks he has no time for this nonsense.
There are much better things he could be doing with his time.
Studying, learning, reading.
Vittorio won't say that out loud.
The other part of him is very intrigued.
"Why a bath?"
"Is this some special occasion?"
"Perhaps a ritual?"
He has the tendency to overanalyze everything.
Don't take offense to it, that's just how he is.
He isn't used to fancy things like that.
Back in his time, the rich people took baths sometimes, and everyone else just smelled bad.
There was no just taking a bath for the fun of it.
And there certainly wasn't any fancy soaps or bubble baths or anything like that.
So expect him to ask what everything is.
I mean everything.
"Why are you putting flower petals in the water?"
"What are these odd fragile spheres floating from the water?"
Because bubble bath is a foreign concept to him.
But once he's in the water he'll finally start to relax.
And, when Vittorio starts to relax, He starts to get very philosophical.
Questioning the meaning of life, wondering about all its beauty.
Very philosophical in a positive way.
You're going to have a difficult time getting him to shut up.
The best thing you can do is give him a swift kiss, and start massaging his shoulders.
He's never really felt relaxed before.
It might be the first time you've ever seen the creases in his forehead relax.
And after, he'll profusely thank you.
He might even try to run a bath for the both of you himself.
Because that was the calmest he's ever felt.
Gabriel Soma
A bath?
What's that?
The future has a ton of amazing technology.
Including tubes you simply step into that get you clean right away.
No hassle or fuss.
But, that also means no baths.
So you're going to have to really explain what a bath is.
"You don't have pods for that?"
"That's a very archaic way of getting clean, don't you think?"
"It seems like that would consume so much time."
And, yes, it does.
But the point is to relax.
Which, again, is something he's never really done.
So you'll really have to explain the purpose behind relaxing too.
You have to remember, Gabriel was cloned for one purpose.
That's all he really knows.
Well, that and running from the killers.
The best way to do this is to show him everything and explain the function.
The bathtub, soap, shampoo.
He doesn't really understand the function of a rubber duck.
Explaining joy and relaxation isn't getting anywhere.
It might just be easier to get a bath running for Gabriel and see how it goes from there.
It almost feels like teaching a toddler how to take a bath properly.
But it isn't his fault, and make sure he knows that.
Because he's actually pretty embarrassed.
Make sure the water is warm, not hot.
He doesn't like it when the water's super hot.
He'll absolutely melt when you wash his hair.
He's never really experienced something so blissful before.
He might even ask if you can do that multiple times.
By the end it's almost impossible to get him out of the bath.
But the water is cold and his lips are blue.
So, yeah, get him out before he catches a cold.
And promise to take another bath with him sometime soon.
Because, as our cake of a method as it is, it's certainly enjoyable.
Jonah Vasquez
Once you bring up the idea, he'll start spouting his knowledge of ancient civilizations and what they used baths for.
"The ancient Greeks used it for purification rituals."
"So did the Romans and various other Indus River civilizations."
"Is there a reason behind this bath?"
"Some ritual you want me to take part in?"
He's a little paranoid.
But, can you blame him?
Nearly everything in this man's life has been a puzzle, all leading up to his time in the realm.
It's only natural he questions this as something similar.
Like the others, he's not very good at relaxing.
Forced to constantly look over his shoulder most of his adult life, he had precious little time to sit back and take in the world.
So the first hurdle is going to get him to sit still long enough to be in the bath.
He also gets cold really easily.
Jonah always preferred warm climates.
So make sure the water temperature is nice and hot.
It will remind him of his mangrove in Fresno, and this should help him calm down a little bit.
He also loves fruity scents.
Again, another reminder of home.
Despite all this he'll still be on edge.
Maybe try massaging his shoulders?
And if you wash his hair, Make sure to do so gently and massage his scalp.
He'll do the same for you.
Despite all this attempt to get him to relax, he still just can't do it.
Give him time though.
"I'm sorry. I can't do it. Not yet."
"But.. I enjoyed the time I spent with you. I'd be willing to try again."
