How "The Nest" Should Have Ended.
Just wanted to make something very simple, so here's this. I'm sure Markus says something like 'you've never felt something inside you? Something different?' (Very much paraphrasing, I don't recall the exact script without watching the scene...)
And my brain just went 'yes, I think we all know what Connor wants to feel.' Yeah, it's in one of those moods. Enjoy!
Detroit Deviants’ Preferences: Hugging (DBH)
A/N: I ended up giving everyone two because I have a lot of thoughts about hugging androids, okay.
Imagine Josh’s hugs happening after the peaceful revolution is successful doitdoitdoit--
Or everybody’s honestly, doitdoit--

If some of the Deviants at the evidence room can be reactivated by Connor in order to look for Jericho, does this means that after the android revolution (if peacefully won) they’ll have a second chance?
Some can’t be reactivated at all, but some other seem to be able to go back to function... they just need the spare parts to fix them. Now we know Blue hair Traci doesn’t want to live without her lover (who it’s beyond repair), so sure, she can choose death over loss.
But we know the deviant from the Stanford tower (either is the broadcast operator or even Simon) are just blind but want to live and can’t be re-activated.
Rupert (the “pigeon guy”) it’s pretty bang up and mute, but still “functional” (even if he can’t speak).
Not to mention Daniel, he is by far the one that seems most likely to be a candidate for a repair... after all the only two deviants you can’t activate at all are the brown short hair Traci and the deviant that stabbed 28 times his own owner. - All other deviants in the evidence room can be re-activated and seem to be candidates for a “second chance” now that their crimes can be explain since “oh s*it, this was self defense because now we know androids are alive”...
So, he ever be able to find Emma even as a grown up and reconnect with her..? everything Daniel did was for love (just like Kara). - Sure, he went psycho, but let’s analyze this, just like Kara, who has the option of killing Todd, Daniel killed the father because she loved Emma so much that though was “part of the family”, he also wanted to remain near Emma, and the father was the only obstacle. He, just like Kara, had no plan, din’t knew about Jericho at that point. He was driven by fear to loosing the only thing it was important to him, the human child he cared for so long. - Plus Connor only asses the situation at hand, we really don’t know is Emma’s father was into something shady... at that point, as Allen said, “All that matters if to save the little girl”.
And ultimately, if he saw no way out, he was willing to die along side the one he loved, just like Kara dies (”shuts down”) if Alice doesn’t make it across the river... the more you think about they're not that different, are they?
So, what is your favorite candidate for re-activation?
and Why?
Always love to hear your theories!
Now remember, folks… If things go wrong, it's best to blame Hank!
