We all know that Hank leaves the precinct right after breaking Perkins's nose. He's clearly walking to his car (because where else would he go?) and we know that it only takes Connor five minutes to find his way to Jericho before he leaves the precinct the same way. This happens during the day, and Connor arrives at Jericho in the evening.

I have every right to believe that Hank did wait for Connor at the exit from the precinct and took him home. I mean, they had at least a few hours together (you know what I mean), so it's quite likely that Hank took Connor home and he was the one who gave him the clothes, or helped him to find/choose them. It would also explain why Hank fell for Connor 60's trick so easily. I don't think 60 needed a gun to get Hank to go with him, I think Hank initially thought Connor was in trouble for returning to him in original clothes (or Connor may not have changed clothes at Hank's, in which case it would even make it easier for Connor 60 to kidnap Hank). Gods, I'm going to consider this canon because it's too perfect and logical not to be true.

Imagine that Connor goes back in time and meets Hank before Cole’s death. More under the cut !

Hank and Connor are in medias res trying to stop Kamski from provoking a quantum mass explosion that would make him travel back in time for an unknown reason.

Connor is caught in the explosion trying to protect Hank.

He wakes up back in time, and is helped by a police detective who found him passed out in a forest where he was taking his son. The detective appears to be Hank from the past, he still has Cole and his wife, though things are getting complicated with her since Cole was born. Connor is torn between the reasonable certitude he can’t mess with the past, and the strong need to tell Hank about where he comes from, and what will happen to Cole.

At first, Connor stays at Hank's, who lives alone with Cole since he had an argument with his wife, and tries to find Kamski by himself. It appears that Kamski still has some weapons from the future, where Connor has nothing but himself. As he comes back from a pursuit with the man, he is hurt and Hank finds out he’s not human.

He starts opening up to Hank, trying not to forget they’re not lovers in this reality. But Hank gradually develops a crush on him, and they kiss once before the man reminds himself he still has a wife.

Connor decides to leave and after some tracking, he finds Kamski again, but realizes he is tracking someone himself : Chloe. The young woman works in a coffee shop and young Kamski goes and visits her everyday. Connor and Kamski have a heartfelt conversation, Kamski explaining Chloe was his first and last love, but that she died prematurely. Kamski tried to bring her back by creating androids, but even with her looks, even with deviancy, the Chloes he would make would never be like the real Chloe. He came back in the past to save her.

This made Connor think about his own situation : about Hank and Cole. He would do anything to prevent Hank from the dreadful harm Cole’s death would cause him. Kamski explains they don’t have much more time. Time travels were extremely unstable, and he had made calculations to be able to save Chloe, but nothing more, and the time has come.

Connor runs back to Hank, he explains everything as he starts to disappear. Hank reaches to him as he goes into thin air and says “I’ll wait for you ! In the future…We’ll meet again, Connor !” Connor knows they won’t : if Kamski saved Chloe, he wouldn't create androids.

When he appears back in the future, in the ruins of Kamski’s mansion, he sees the man standing in front of a tombstone : Chloe’s. Kamski explains he was afraid of that result. He had saved Chloe, and this created an alternate reality. There was nothing he could do for his own dread. Connor only advises him to run away, because he would have to tell the police where he was. Nines welcomes him, asking where he has been, but Connor only wants to know where Hank is. He is at the hospital, and is so relieved to see Connor after what seems to be days.

Connor breaks into tears when Hank asks where he had been. He tells him everything, that he met the past him, that he told him about Cole's death, thinking he would be able to make him happy, even if it meant sacrificing himself. Hank was speechless, but deeply moved that Connor was ready to disappear for real for his happiness, and that he was upset he had failed. He tells him he is happy now, finally.

Alright, it's rant time.

This one corner in the DBH fandom fucking sucks.

The amount of targeted harassment someone gets for calling someone out on their bullshit, or, hell, even just having a separate opinion, is fucking revolting. The amount of people (this is particular in the shipping corner) who fetishize Connor, or more recently, Hank is... gross. Really goddamn gross. And the amount of ignorance they have is through the goddamn roof.

I've seen this firsthand and have friends who've experienced it. It's disgusting how a person tries to explain their opinion or reasoning behind something, and they get shut down or ignored in favor of the other person screaming at them.

This has happened to a couple of people, recently including an author on ao3. I personally don't know much about them aside from their works, but a friend had given me a summary. The author orphaned their works due to harassment on posting, being dragged into drama, and completely pulled back from the fandom (I'm assuming. Haven't seen anything from them since). Again, I don't know much, so I don't know if the person/people behind it are the same person I'm about to reference below.

One person in particular is guilty of all three of the things I listed prior. Fetishization (which, for those about to say something, isn't exclusively about race), harassment, and ignorance, as well as multiple other things like hypocrisy, slut shaming (I don't care if its towards Connor only or not. It's shaming), being polyphobic, absolutely hating on and/or blocking people who like Reed900 (And I mean they lose their mind about it, not just disliking it. They'll burst a blood vessel about it at/about you for it)- I could go on, but talking about them already leaves my mouth tasting sour.

They... I want to say singlehandedly, but there was someone else who joined in and slammed the nail into the coffin. But they, as well as this other person, pushed my friend into contemplating whether or not to remove most, if not all, of their content (particularly YT content, because that in and of itself is a cesspool of hate I don't wanna get into on this post) because of the targeted harassment. Which I'm sure the person will deny, but idgaf. They harassed my friend, plain and simple.

On top of the fact, my friend had told me that they feel ashamed to ship HankCon because of this person and the things they do in regards to the ship. Multiple people feel this way, and truthfully, I do too. In their words, it "feels like we should be in the closet about loving HankCon", and I cannot agree with that more.

It's so sad to see someone I genuinely admire as a content creator, especially for this fandom, wanting to delete loved content and content that took so long to create because of other people being absolutely stupid. It sucks that ANY creator in this fandom that's been affected by people would feel like they need to or should remove work they enjoyed and spent time on. It's so upsetting.

I wanna say I'm sorry for being harsh, but I'm not. This had needed to be said for a while and I'm already pretty upset with these people and the situation in general.

And I'm not removing this post. I've seen the hate and harassment someone had gotten after making a post themselves, and they've since removed it because of it. But I care too much about them, other (good) members of the fandom and shippers, and the fandom/franchise itself to delete this. I'm pinning it and it's staying.

(And before anyone comments that I should name the people I mentioned in this post, no. That'll bring heat onto them and, for the people affected by this behavior, they neither need it nor deserve it.)
