death boat death pool v. 3
happy hunter x hunter returns weekend! in honor of one of my predictions coming true in the last death pool, and none of them from the first one, here's my updated version for whatever horrors togashi has planned for us this time around
kurapika: 2/10 from protagonist syndrome, also will likely be Suffering the whole time and you can't suffer if you're dead
oito: 6/10, I'm downgrading her from last time because she's got a spine and I will be very sad if she kicks it. also more seriously, too early in her character arc to die, and woble is too baby to understand
hanzo: 10/10, I have One Fear and it's my favorite friendly neighborhood ninja
melody: 3/10, if only because she had her big solo last time in honor of kacho and fugetsu, so might be in the firing line for blame
biscuit krueger: 0/10, calling it now, bisky lives, punches the island
izunavi: 7/10, those obi-wan vibes
morena prudo: 5/10, she got the cover BUT she also has massive jesus imagery, could go either way. gatekeep girlboss your way through the death boat, morena, have a good murder time
mizaistrom nana: 7/10, I'm keeping my prediction level for him steady, barring any ways for togashi to milk additional drama and/or he just doesn't show up at all
illumi and kalluto zoldyck: 1/10, for real why is illumi here and how long before he attempts to murder hisoka.
chrollo lucilfer: 2/10, I was gonna 1/10 him but then I remembered kurapika is around and chronically exhausted, might attempt some murder here out of sheer distracted exhaustion-driven fury. who knows!
the rest of the spiders: 3/10 for one of them? hisoka already did a number on their, uh, numbers, so I think they're pretty safe. they could take a hit from the mob tho
theta: 9/10 [panicked muffled screaming]
bill: 6/10, I like him too much for him not to be in the line of fire. not to mention that he's close to kurapika and has been an emotional an logistical support.
cheadle yorkshire: 2/10, we STILL have not gotten to see her in action, togashi
leorio paladiknight: 1/10, I'm clinging to hope that we see leorio solely because of the tweet from the official sj account where leorio says "more page time!" so maybe we'll get more page time and if not I shall be content that my boy is okay
fugetsu hui guo rou: 3/10 because I'm still crying, it's been years, togashi you tear drinker, consumer of joy
hisoka morrow: lolololol/10
not even gonna put ging and pariston on here, if they both show up this time I will be gobsmacked. delighted, can't wait for their mutual nonsense, but extremely surprised.
