A page from absolute Superman #17
Comes out tomorrow
If I had a nickel for every time Superman media makes a reference to the Yamcha pose, I'd have 4 nickels.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice four times
What happens if Rogue and Parasite touch each other?
The differences between their powers don't really matter here bc the first thing that happens is they both steal each other's power-stealing powers, then re-steal their own powers back again. Once that happens they both start triple-speed draining the other using both powers at once. But they're also both burning energy to do that. There's waste in the life force loop that's been created which leaks fast. This is a bad time for everyone. Neither of them "wins" without outside intervention or breaking off the connection and fighting more conventionally (and then Rogue wins).
Parasite is another good villain from Superman the Animated Series, but he looks like what I imagine cancer looks like. This pink, fleshy mass. It's sickening to look at, even though the art team thankfully never shows us anything as creepy as what comic art has shown me. His actor also did a good job with the part, but I just don't love the way he looks (or the way his debut episode had a very psychological thriller vibe to it). I can accept the character, but his episodes can't be my favourites. That being said, I do love the innuendo of having Parasite absorbing other people's powers and memories. He sucks it out of them, drains them, insert an innuendo and it'll probably apply here. I find that the best part of this character.

When I tell you I struggled with this one, I just could not find colours I was happy with I re-did it like 3 times 😭
Alexander Atlas
“I use too be on top of the world. Money, power, grade high fashion clothing customs, women. Then some nobody reporter comes and takes it all away from me well now, I’m going take it all back and more starting by taking down the bitch who made me a Parasite. Superwoman you’re mine.”
Alexander Atlas was once known to the world as the brilliant human revolutionary with such advanced technology matching only to his ego and vanity. All of that changed when Luz Noceda, Gus porter & Amity Blight of the daily profit exposed the brilliant genius as the fraud he truly was. Destroying his career with evidence of stealing all his ideas from his colleagues Alexander unleashed the unknown alien subject onto the public during the exhibition.
Fortunately Superwoman put a stop to the madness but not without collateral damages, the aliens destroyed body parts were exposed to Atlas. A metaphors took place transforming the human into the meta human
Parasite
Now a true monster on the outside as is on the inside Parasite is a being with a terrifying and insatiable appetite this man, will be one of Superwoman’s greatest enemies.
Parasite's main power is energy absorption, but he also has enhanced strength and agility. He can absorb the life force of anybody, and can absorb just about any type of energy. He's also able to absorb the DNA of the victim, allowing him to take the powers of a metahuman.

Power Loss: The power that Parasite absorbs is not permanent. Without constant periods of refraining his victims Parasite’s other abilities will reduce and disappear at most he is able to hold on to these powers for a maximum of 2 hours.
Obsession: This causes him to be in a costant state of terrible hunger that can never be ended, only temporarily diminished.
Vulnerability to Weaknesses: Parasite took over the weaknesses of his victims; these included Superwoman’s vulnerability to Kryptonite.
"I HAVE OFTEN THOUGHT, AS LONG AS PARASITE LIVES, SUPERMAN IS A THREAT TO THE WORLD."

MINI-BIO: "We are each of us in danger of being consumed by what we do and who we are.
For Maxwell Jensen it was greed. Believing that a government radiation-proof waste container was actually being used to smuggle money, Jensen opened the container, absorbing the radioactive materials. He was transformed into something akin to a human atomic furnace. His ability to absorb the energy and abilities and mentalities of others is a necessity. Without it, he would literally burn himself out.
Jensen was a criminal even before he was transformed into a being interested in more than money. Now he wants powers. And that is why Parasite wants to kill Superman. Not out of hatred, but to absorb and gain Superman's very nature.
I have often thought, as long as Parasite lives, Superman is a threat to the world."
