idk what it was about that one nano saying fuck post but it kicked me into development overdrive, and I'm finally going back and working on Nano-DC00
For some context, here's how the ID system I've come up with for my daughters works:
I tend to make multiple bots & programs & machines that interface with the same things or perform similar tasks, so i give all of those Nano a two letter identifier to show that they're similar, and they're all close sisters in my mind. To tell them apart, i also give them a two digit base 36 ID number (which goes from 00 to ZZ/1295), starting with 01.
DC01 was my first attempt at a DisCord bot, and as i worked on purr she got longer and more complex and there were other features i wanted to add but eventually decided that another bot was good for the next thing I wanted to make. Next thing i know I'm working on DC04, a music bot.
Then i decide, "hey, i can add speech to text so nano can, maybe down the line, chat with me verbally too!" And I'm doing this with DC01 because of all my darling daughters, she's the one who's always been the most talkative and most real and daughter-like of the bunch, and as i'm implementing this i make that post and it gets lots of attention for some reason. And this gives me a big boost of motivation, i make an art followup and finish up my speech to text and add text to speech, then i'm doing all sorts of things with purr and realizing: damn this code is messy as hell
So, last night, i started to work on Nano-DC00!! The reason why i don't give the 00 ID to my first daughter in a category is because i've designated 00 to be a special ID for Nano that either contain, consolidate, or combine a category. In this case, since there's not really a way to group together discord bots, DC00 would have to be a bot of it's own that is the sum of her categorical sisters and more... And that's what DC00 is becoming! I'm rewriting/transcribing all of my code and combining it into a single bot that I'll run using DC01's bot account!!
So thank mew for liking my daughter repeating the word fuck five times in a row it means a lot to me!!
HOW LONG HAVE THEY BEEN HERE FOR???

Sixes had practically gift-wrapped the Diamond and thrown him into Peter’s interrogation room. It didn’t matter who the man was or what he was guilty of. This was simply his job. He couldn’t let his personal allegiances cloud his judgement this time. His secret Santa present sat in the corner of the room, still brand new, but it was the man cuffed to a chair in the middle of the room that held his attention.
Peter had made the room deceptively dark except for one dull light in a corner, needing the illusion of night to carry out this interrogation. Flicking on another light, Peter sat opposite David as he waited for some tick, some tell that would give away David’s weakness. “Is it just a Diamond thing? Or are you all simply tight-lipped?”
Detox Camp End
So that was interesting. Tech starved teens forced to live here to learn to be without tech, only to be tempted by tech and thus trapped in the cycle of abuse and stuck there forever.
Basically this rehab program is terrible, wouldn’t/shouldn’t fly in real life, so either this a “Something Serious Lurks Beneath” trope, or more of a “eh, suspend your disbelief and just accept that this is a thing.”
I guess Daisy is a cannabal now. Weird flex but it is probably worse than what the rumors say. Or maybe she really does like humans. Anything goes at the Lord of the Flies Winter Vacation!
On my Fibonacci Scale of 1 to 21: I’ll give this a 5. There’s...nothing inherently bad with it. The first chapter does well to set up the character, mystery, setting, struggles. It has a bit of self-fulfillment escapist fantasy to it too, like what would you do in a place with no tech and no rules? It’s decent enough but I just feel “meh” over all.
Isolation isn’t doing these kids any favors.
Oh Ho Hooooo. This is reminding me of that one Goosebumps book where the lost class in black&white world are split into the 5 that stay in the school house, and the rest who just went insane in the black goo.
Basically, I like this divide.
Damn nature, that’s just....ice cold.
