Killing Colors
Street photography is part of the Beginner’s step in taking photography. Not everyone will stick to it but those who did will eventually starts having their names known.
I’ve done numerous photowalk when I was starting out as a hobbyist before. I went out with college friends, friends from Online forums and other people too. That’s why I encourage people who are starting out in photography to do the same.
My brother, the youngest one, is having an interest in photography nowadays. He’s using my old Nikon D3100 and once in a while I’m couching him on some technicalities.
He’s tagging along with a group in our Diocese that does street photography. I was seeing myself in him. From the way he compose and image and the way he chooses the monochrome setting because he was told that black and white is best for street photography. I don’t disagree, but I’m 100% agreeing either.
Since our last conversation, my interest in street photography spike up again so I tried if I improved or at least changed in seeing things and capturing street scenes.
Yesterday, 22nd of July 2015, I was once again on foot for another outdoor shot for my job. And since I was in Intramuros, a place where budding hobbyist in photography starts, I thought why not get some street shots.
I tried to post process these photos and killing the vibrancy of the color so that the contrast and there’s a feel of grunginess.
The point I’m trying to tell my brother about, the photos are not exactly monochromatic, or in gray scale as most street photography are, but desaturating the colors will kinda give the same effect.
For this last shot, I was really glad that I’m using a capable lens. I never had an architectural shot before. I haven’t tried actually. But seeing the last photo makes me want to venture into that niche.
Im deep into a experimental phase but its so fun. Ive uploaded other songs as well if you guys want to check those out
Dead Colors
Played live for the first time ever with my friend Trey under the moniker Dead Colors today. Definitely a interesting way to start my music career..
