Another dead angelfire site I found [X]
Does anyone else remember when Umoni’s Piano Tiles very briefly had a normal social media site built into the app, around 2014–2015, which was taken down within the same year because both adults and children were posting nude photos of themselves on it like fucking maniacs?
Please tell me I’m not the only one who remembers this.

The Dead Halls of Myspace
I’m walking the dead streets of MySpace. My_____ as they so desperately tried to rebrand it, before the last breath of life fell from its corpse, bloody and phlegmy. Bottom of the pot coffee, the scum around the inside edge of the toilet bowl, the hair in the shower drain, the white stuff that accumulates at the edges of your mouth when you’re really thirsty; that is all that’s left of this place. Empty forums, places where I made friends I have today litter the site like broken leaves. A litany of posts proclaiming the end of the group, the end of Myspace, repeating over and over again, grinding into dust. The band pages, once the centre of the online music world are now ghost towns, where the occasional fan still stumbles and mistakenly comments.
“LOVE YOU GUYS! COME TO TOPECA!!!1!!”
I might be the only person who reads that for a week.
Here I am in this dead world of glitz and glitter, flashing light shows for the terminally attention deprived. What do they do now, these eye grabbing colourful folk? How do they express themselves without their all pink glitter backgrounds, their flashing signs proclaiming their name (LEXXI!), their nickname, (THE LEXT LEVEL!) and their favourite band to the world (JONAS BROTHERS 4 LYFE!!!)? Are they all crammed together in some warehouse, shining strobes in one another’s eyes and shouting in all caps? God, I hope so. I hope someone has forgot to feed them, or at least locked the doors securely.
I cruise my old profile, proclaiming who I was in such lavishly naive detail. Teenage angst abounds. Teenage angst abounds everywhere here. It drips from the front pages of every song list that we ever put together, screaming nothing but NOTICE ME, in the almost way that the GlitterStrobers did. Not so different when it came down to it. A few lines of HTML in a profile design different.
Occasionally I note a flicker of life. Some mother, checking her daughters online usage, still unaware that not only is Myspace deceased, but it is not the entire Internet. A sad confused paedophile or two, clicking through old pictures of tweenage girls kissing each other on the cheek. It just isn’t the same without the opportunity to troll for meetups. Some eastern Europeans, still trying to figure out this whole ‘Internet thing’. And the saddest of all, those who never left. Those who clung to the ever splintering hull of the Titanic as it broke and sank, never swimming for the lifeboats, now clinging desperately, vainly, to a floating door. Still, they try to convince themselves that the ship will drag itself from the depths and continue its voyage, unsinkable once more.
I’m walking the dead halls of Myspace. Here, there be monsters.

Just a little something I had kicking around in my head.
Also, LOL, myspace.
Also, thats a lot of metaphors and similies.
Version two of Misery Business, a shrine to Meroko Yui from Full Moon wo Sagashite. I made the shrine because I had been able to adopt the fanlisting and this was my first ever shrine to a female character. Eventually, though, I sort of lost interest in it and closed the site down. This screencap doesn't have the text on the header because my friend Alice (Sophonax.net) actually did the typography for me and sadly I don't have a copy of what that looked like. A pity because her typography is always gorgeous. ;_;
