[ a/n ]: im a big fan of these weirdos. partially inspired by the fact that i'm in new york rn (specifically manhattan) and i keep talking to people that remind me of some of them

haze:
...she doesn't do 'hangouts'.
i mean, not like she really has time for it. sure, there's been one or two places she's seen in passing that she thought were interesting, but being as busy and focused as she is makes it a little impossible to cut time out
hanging out with haze is going to require persistence but patience. bring it up maybe once a week, but not every day or she'll just tell you you're being annoying. EVENTUALLY, if yall talk more and she ends up kinda liking tolerating you, she will acquiesce
to be honest, haze doesn't really have a personal life so when you ask her where she likes going she- strangely -doesn't answer as quickly and assuredly as she does to everything else
nowhere?? anywhere?? like she doesn't really know, but she would probably really like something chill but interesting since she doesn't want to do too much on one of her rare instances not working
while she's first getting to know you, a hangout where y'all mainly talk probably isn't a good call since she's a little awkward. maybe a historical bus tour so she could point out all the inaccuracies in the history for you. or a music show of some sort that has cello involved to help her open up about her pastime hobby
wouldn't really want to talk about work, and weirdly enough wants to know a lot about you. it's partially cause she doesn't trust you (LMAO) but also because she's... interested in you
the question of "Why are you spending time with me?" will eventually come up, but as long as you answer honestly you will continue to hang out afterwards

honestly? i don't think he has specific hangout 'spots' around where the ritual is held considering he moves for info so often, but he does like parks a lot.
unironically he also enjoys the cemeteries around manhattan
if you tease him about it he might misunderstand and think you're for real making fun of him, but after you clarify you're teasing he crosses his arms and gruffs out an "I knew that." lie with a slight flush to his cheeks
his go-to routine at the end of the day is to get a hot dog and hang out in a park or a cemetery if he's feeling like he wants more time to get away from people
if you're a talkative person, he enjoys listening and ads his comments here and there, but if you're a quieter person and prefer to listen that's good too. actually- he kind of would like someone to listen to him for a good 2-3 hours.
it's not hard to tell that he kind of wants someone to listen to him and his experiences. he totally doesn't care what you think also a lie kinda but he does find himself getting more comfortable and speaking faster when you show obvious signs of interest in what he has to say
likes his alone time and still goes off on his own a lot, but if you two get closer he's going to start wordlessly expecting you to just tag along, looking over his shoulder to check that you're following when he just starts wordlessly walking off after the ritual
drifter:

he really doesn't care; while he's surprised and incredibly amused that you're willingly making an effort to spend time around him, he's not exactly privy to traditional hangout spots aside from dive bars
the types of places drifter hangs out in are seedy alleyways with a few lamplights burnt out. seedy bars that stay open all night, drawing in all the crowd you're told to avoid. train tracks if he can find them. street corner crossroads with groups of homeless, blending in.
he likes to blend in, hunt like a bobcat in the bushes. the first hangout is definitely a drink or five in some smelly ass bar you have to walk under a building for, but if you end up hanging out frequently enough he'll start teaching you how to tail people without getting caught
he'd probably try to push you away at first but- if you can push through, be persistent, give him some pushback -you'll be hanging out more frequently than you'll ever know. (he's going to stalk you
drifter is a big fan of being in any place he's not supposed to be. dude's an expert at hopping fences and if you can keep up?
he might even go out of his way to ask you to come along sometime, sliding up from the shadows behind you after a ritual with a silky "Up for some trouble tonight, cher?"
will play with you a bit too- despite the fact that his 'play' usually ends in gore and viscera, he likes you so the most he'll do is let you loose in times square and tell you you've got a 10 minute head start before he finds you. which he will, so you better get smart about your tactics to keep him entertained.

ivy really wants new friends and loves talking to people so the fact that you!!! went out of your way!!! to hang with her!!!! dude she's PUMPED
if you're not from NY she's most DEFINTELY going to take you to spanish harlem to show you around
you're meeting everyone in the neighborhood and then her family like you're going home with two to-go plates and a new baby cousin you've gotta babysit next wednesday at 5
would probably make an excellent tour guide if she had the chance; after y'all look around y'all will either eat out if she's got cash or head to her house for dinner! she's one of those people that will bring any of their friends close to their circle so you're feeling very welcomed no matter where you go
kind of worries that she did too much on y'all's first hangout so if you say yes to hanging again/accept her invite she's actually like over the moon. "yall are close as hell by the end of the week she's just such an angel
(also, hanging out with you gives her some time away from her family. she loves them dearly, she just wants to develop her personal life and stuff too!!)

not really used to someone being genuinely interested in her so she's a little shy at first. just be patient with her and show genuine interest and she loosens up a bit tho :]
either way though, ivy is probably the best person to ask to hangout out of the entire bunch besides a few because she's just like super excited to make a friend and is probably the fastest route to a bestie if you're similar to her like at all
A mini comic that I made to try and work out a few headcanon ideas I had floating around in my brain. I know Deadlock is still a work-in-progress and is up to being changed, I still wanted to convey my ideas when I had the chance to. I do hope we get more content about Warden cuz I think he's a really interesting character to be partaking in the ritual (and how he would react to Mr. Self-Described Patron Eldritch Entity Bellhop)

Drifter is possibly one of the few people he genuinely likes, besides Paige, due to the fact they met before he pulled his Doorman scheme. Drifter saw him in his ‘God’ form and wasn’t intimidated. There was a mutual equality and respect.
Drifter also is the only person to know that Dory is a God. Paige is flying to close to the sun, however
Has children but given they would also be gods they are very independent and off on their own curious adventures. Doesn’t mean they won’t walk through The Baroness from time to time
He is a high ranking god, but not the highest. If anything doing his undercover human scheme knocked him down the totem pole a few notches as it is seen as ‘pointless’ what he is doing
The Baroness is staffed by followers of his. Aka it’s nearly a Church in a sense. Unlike actual churches he actually cares about them. They are given jobs at the hotel, stay there, and have safety from the madness going on at the moment
He calls them his ‘keys’
Drifter also lives there with his own purpose but that’s on the down low
His human form was tailored made to try and convey as harmless as possible, to help draw suspicion from himself. Unfortunately he isn’t aware of tumblrsexymen or the blue eye stare
He loves hearing stories more than anything else. He will take a person sharing a funny memory over money. Hence how Drifter ended up staying there.
Also why he wants Paige to read at the hotel. He’s curious about humans after all. What purpose is money when all he wants is to learn the wild things mortals can offer him?
He has a few hobbies when not on the clock. Reading is the favorite, but he does take comfort in tidying and organizing. You’ll also find him at bars or ma and pa shops just listening to the people live. People watching in a more literal term
The reason his eyes look like that is because they are important features for him to use his powers. It’s a given for a God to have something key about themselves they can’t entirely hide. Call it a built in safety clause
He’s also quite a foodie. Junkfood included. He really enjoys foods that are salty and/or savory. Pretzels are definitely a favorite
Originally his hair was a more toned down ginger hue, but he felt such a kinship with Paige it subconsciously changed its shade to be more similar to hers
He really wants a pet but understands now isn’t the time. Especially when being a God means there isn’t really anything that can live long with you. May it be simply out aging to people seeing your pet as a artifact to break for power
Amongst the gods they gossip and rumor that every freckle Dory has represents a life he has stolen. If that was true he would be a solid color
The reason he is so polite is because he knows how powerful he is and if he was ACTUALLY angry you would be dead before you could comprehend it
Also it makes rage baiting easier when you don’t react. Along with make THEM look like the bad guy because you are so calm
His favorite colors are red and gold
He’s really lonely. Taking on a mortal form has left him out of God circles and he can’t exactly tell anyone who he is because it will cause chain reactions that just can’t be undone. The only people he can really talk to, to some degree of genuine honesty and his actual personality, is Drifter and Paige. Even then….
It takes a solid amount of focus and concentration to keep his mortal form, so it can also be dangerous for him to get to emotional or hurt

As a God his senses are impossible to measure. Wearing gloves helps him with such hyper sensitive issues
His laugh, real laugh, can be compared to creaky door that keeps opening and closing and needs serious WD40 on the squeaky hinges

There's no way Apollo's confidence is entirely real. I believe he puts a front on, perhaps to convince himself more than anyone else that the expectations and pressure on him is expected due to him being the best of all.
But he drowns in it regularly, I'm sure. His Father like a looming guillotine, waiting to strike when he hasn't provided the utmost perfection.
Griffin's are supposed to be protectors and guard priceless treasures (usually gold but stick with me here). Rem can latch onto you like he's protecting, jumping from person to person as well like he is flying.
I believe his treasures are dreams. As he can see all the characters dreams/memories. Its also something that could be considered priceless with how fleeting a dream can be.
Features:
He has paw pads like a lion. He molts like a bird as said by the shop keeper. Looking at the tails they are formed very similarly. He doesn't have wings but in history some griffin's didn't or he's so young that they are hidden by his coat.
Couldn't tell you what the little helpers are. They just may be actual birds or some fantasy creature.

SEVEN
Despite his entire lightning and storm motif, Seven actually hates the rain. Being caught out in it will leave him in a terrible mood. Same with the snow. Sometimes, he wonders, if he should pack it up and try to find a place with an Astral Gate somewhere a little more temperate.
Speaking of, he’s kind of a diva. He’s really particular about where he goes. Maybe his time at Lost Whisper and how dilapidated it is made him more particular. He’ll go where he needs to in a pinch, but he’s seething on the inside about it.
Not afraid to get up close and personal, despite who he may be facing off against. He loves the thrill of challenging someone twice his size, and coming out on top.
Doesn’t know how to swim. Thing is, he doesn’t think it matters that much, because if someone tries to take him down in the water? They’re definitely going down with him.
DRIFTER
Makes petty threats he usually never follows up on. Drifter definitely isn’t all bark no bite, but he’s not as much bite as people think he is. He just likes being able to get away with hashing out threats without having to lift a claw.
Although he’s a vampire, he definitely likes to eat food. It gives him no nutritional value, of course, but he enjoys acting human on occasion. Nothing better than sitting in a diner at three in the morning eating a slice of apple pie with a cup of coffee.
Can fall asleep literally anywhere. Closet, bath tub, the ground in the middle of a sidewalk, moving vehicles, in the rain, in the hot sun… Doesn’t matter the condition, what he’s wearing, or what’s going on around him, he can and will sleep through anything. He has no fear of something coming up to him, nor is uncomfortable laying his head down anywhere.
Although the events of the Maelstrom have definitely made the world a lot more dangerous for him now, he actually very much enjoys the current day and age. He feels like the people are more alive, and that makes the hunt that much more thrilling.
That being said… He’s kind of terrible when it comes to operating anything more advanced than a revolver. Any piece of technology or machinery, he flounders with. Won’t see him trying to drive a car anytime soon.
