tommy had been quiet for a few days. he'd given everyone the chance to settle down and rein in their emotions. this was something he hated about small towns. a little death occurred and everyone felt the need to be emotional about it. it had been nearly a week already, time to move on. and time for him to get back to his scheming and general nuisance. this time though, he was sitting at the quaint little diner he had found on his first visit to rift valley, staring at the girl behind the counter. he needed the distraction and she was pretty to look at. the second he saw her looking his way though, he raised his hand, waving her over with a hint of smugness to his face.

pamela had spent the last few hours with her heart in her throat, knee bouncing despite the mangled skin and the bruises covering her legs. she was fine. she wasn't being carried off in a body bag, she wasn't even hurt enough to require a hospital visit, she was fine. yet she felt so detached from reality, like this whole thing was a movie and she'd just been hovering over it, watching. it wasn't until she saw lola that she was finally able to breathe properly, tears blurring her vision almost immediately. "are you okay?"

this honestly wasn't how she imagined things would go. after heading home with grayson, the last thing she expected was for them to get a call about what had happened. with emira in her arms, she made her way through the waves of people. for just a few hours, she wanted her daughter with her. that was it. seeing her cousin up ahead, a sigh of relief escaped her lips. dilan had made it out safely. but asena? she hadn't. and thats what worried her. despite knowing she would pull through, she was still worried. "she's going to pull through." she said as she approached dilan. siting down on the chair next to hers, she looked over at her as she held emira.

"Lola?" With the bitter bite of rum lacing his words, Bash struggled through the sand towards the beaut, nodding his head in an odd manner to the music that deafened the air. "Long time no see-" Bloodshot eyes look her over in a glaze as he approaches, a pathetic excuse for a smirk crooked on his lips. "How ya' hanging, babes?" // @deadlyalibis

"so...do you approve or what?" pam stood with her arms out, showing off the outfit lola had put together for her. it was actually cute. and comfortable. and pam didn't hate it. that was new and a big change from her usual style. "so what are we doing first? do we want food? matching tattoos?

pam: what do you mean date? pam: I thought this was a party at the beach, not prom. pam: I already promised I'd wear a dress!

dario had fully committed to the song somewhere around the second chorus, one hand wrapped around the microphone while the other pointed dramatically at the crowd like he was performing for an arena instead of a half-packed karaoke bar with people probably too drunk to even know what he was singing in all honesty. by the time a hard day’s night came to an end, he was laughing breathlessly, giving an exaggerated bow before handing the mic back over to the host. “thank you, thank you, i’ll be here all night,” he joked, still grinning as he made his way back toward the table. sliding into the seat beside them, he grabbed his drink and took a sip before nudging their shoulder lightly. “be honest,” he said, eyes narrowing playfully, “was that performance life changing, or should i retire now? don't worry. either way, i'm getting us a round of shots. how's tequila sound?”

dario had only meant to stop for one drink. he hadn’t gone to his usual spot, avoiding familiar faces on purpose, but at some point the bar blurred into every other one he’d been in lately. he wasn’t a mess, not really, but his head wasn’t exactly clear either. one drink turned into two, then a few more, and by the time he decided to call it, everything felt just slightly better. making his way toward the door, he wasn’t paying enough attention, and his shoulder bumped into someone, hard enough to stop him short. his hand came up instinctively, reaching out to steady them without thinking, guilt hitting him just as quickly as the contact.

“i’m sorry,” he murmured, a little quieter than the room around them, like he meant it more than just a passing apology. “i didn’t see you there.” he huffed a small breath through his nose, already knowing how stupid that sounded, but it was the truth. his eyes flicked over them quickly, checking for damage like that would somehow fix it. “you okay? i didn’t spill your drink or mess up your outfit, did i?” he added, lingering there a second longer than necessary, hand hovering like he wasn’t sure if he should pull away yet.
