So i know its a running gag that hlvrai fans find waaay more depth and meaning than originally intended in the funny gmod machinema but dude. How can you help it when you get genuinely interesting moments and worldbuilding and character arcs like "THERES NOTHING THERE" or the HLAGE finale or the implied meta and in universe narrative around stain, etc. like yes we reach a shitton but there are objectively these kinds of intriguing happenings that Are intended and Were orchestrated deliberately. And its funnnn and makes me go yaay yahoo yippee yaeeyyy

Edit: An addition now that im thinkin ig: this applies to red vs blue and just fandoms in general, having complex, sprawling, or honestly completely random/reach-y headcanons based on little to nothing or throwaway lines is also fun and cool. OCify a mf if you have to just have a good time ok

Watching ghost make the same mistakes over and over since the Communications era just makes me sad. Back then you could excuse it bc he was a child on the web who got a lot of attention very quickly for art they made, but he's been an adult for a good bit now,,

They delete things and run away and cut ties when overwhelmed and I just think they shouldn't have social media as ghost and pals anymore. People ask for reasonable things like a tw and they snark or try to defend themselves, not to mention the racism too

I know they're ""problematic"". It's a poor excuse for poor behavior. I can't feel bad for someone anymore when I've been watching them shoot themselves in the foot for over a decade over nothing,, obv they shouldn't ever be harassed, many go beyond criticism and jump to being a dick, but ghost can't even handle the initial constructive criticism BEFORE ppl start dogpiling, and I think them deleting bsky was ultimately a good thing even if done on impulse
