Deaf representation books by deaf authors (post from slangwrites' instagram)
Sharing some cute books about hearing aids, hearing loss, deafness, sign language and cochlear implants for children.
You can help be a supportive role model for any child or children by sharing these books and talking about their feelings in regards to any kind of hearing loss and or deaf culture.
Your local library or bookstores may have some. If not, you can check Thrift Books website or Amazon.
Happy reading!

Where the rainbows end
Oh, if you thought you saw me but you were wrong...this is called...moving on.
If you thought you could hear me calling your name...then you realized you were just hearing things...this is called...moving on.
That night you thought you felt my touch, but you knew it was asking too much...
Oh oh ohhhhh....baby...
This is called...moving on.
I’m moving on...away from you
You’re no good for me, baby
You know it’s true
There was a time
When all I wanted was you
But now I know I was sooo wrong, too.
Goodbye, my virtual lover
Goodbye, my never was a friend
Maybe we’ll see each other
Where the rainbows end.
Where the 🌈 🌈 🌈 end.

Hey any deaf (specifically fanfic) writers out there! I have a question. Would you consider it insensitive to make a soundtrack for a fic where the main character is deaf? I like the idea of making soundtracks, but I don't want to do anything that's insensitive to the deaf community. Thank you!
In 1967, author and editor Harlan Ellison published Dangerous Visions, an anthology of twenty authors who had won--or would win--Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy, and BSFA Awards for their writing. Ellison’s goal was to break the near iron-clad hold that traditional publishers had... #callforsubmissions
