I saw an avengers post about how they couldnt have arrested Bucky because he was officially dead therefore they couldnt take him to trial, so he live in Starks Tower and the avengers said that he was their cousin Sergey. So of course my brain decided that this could also work like an spn Au.
My AU is that everyone in Lebanon knows about monsters, actually with all the apocalypses and cases a big part of the population know about at least one kind of monster, and they all know that Dean and Sam Campbell are actually Dean and Sam Winchester but they all play dumb and pretend they dont know. Afterall, Dean (a semiretired hunter) owns a garage in town and gives good prices to the neighbourghs and he and his kids (aska his ducklings) are always willing to help with building, moving, plumbing, etc at the price of a good meal, Sam (also semiretired but less retire that Dean) is an unnoficial lawyer and he is always willing to provide legal council. And Cas Winchester (because he and Dean are married) has a stall in the farmer markets and he sells the best honey in the area. The three of them (and the ducklings and their extended family) are also police consultants in their and the surronding area supernatural cases (which are a lot for some reason). Anyways,one day the FBI arrives at the city (maybe they catch wind that the Winchesters were there, maybe someone passing by recognize them or and enemy/someone that doesnt like them) gave an anonimous tip, or maybe there was a “serial killer” case and the FBI decided to help while in reality it was a werewolf or a vampire and the Winchesters took care of it). Of course, since Sam and Dean (and to an extend Cas) faces were all ove the news more than once, the agents recognize them and try to arrest them. Cue, the officers and the people of Lebanon all band together to protect their own. So the FBI is like those are clearly the Winchesters and James Novak, and an old lady goes like no, those are the Campbells brothers, “ma´am those are dangerous criminal”, “how can they be dangerous if they help in the soup kitchen all weekends”. And the officers are like “those are the Campbells, they have live here forever”, FBI “those are the Winchester and you must arrest them”, and the officer is like “Look, those are the Campbell, besides even if they were the Winchesters, we cant arrest them”, “Why not?”, “Because they are dead and you cant arrest dead people”. Somehow Claire, who wasnt at the bunker because she was on a hunt, catch wind of the situation and drives back to Lebanon, and the agents see her and are like oh good you are Claire Novak, please tell this officers that that is your father James Novak and Claire puts her best confuse Pikachu face and is like no sir you are mistaken that is Castiel Campbell my adoptive father who has no relation with my father who I havent seen since I was like 12, and the exaspareted agent grabs two photos and goes they have literally the same face, and Claire is like I cant see the similarities.
