Living in the Minoru household is a bit of a culture shock, and not just because she’s the only one who doesn’t speak Japanese.
California is just such a change from her home in the middle of nowhere, there’s streetfood everywhere, people speak spanish on the streets, and the high rises stretch on forever.
Karolina puts her foot in her mouth a lot that first month
Nico lives in her own little house behind her parents mansion (to allow her some independence and make her daily rhythm less disruptive for the rest of the family), within a week plans are set in motion to add another room for Karolina to make her own.
Tina makes them promise to sleep separately, though it’s really more like advice, she has no intention of checking up on them which Nico is well aware of.
Karolina gradually becomes a bigger part of Nico’s channel, going from a voice behind the camera and an extra pair of hands, to the second half of Nico’s channel.
Nico is still the star of her channel, and does most of the editing and on-camera work, whereas Karolina is more focused on the behind the scenes stuff, answering DM’s/emails, coordinating shoots, making sure they remember to eat and go to sleep at reasonable hours, and all that stuff. Nico has no idea how she made it all work before Karolina.
Karolina’s channel becomes where they post all their unplanned stuff, meaning it’s 80% them pulling faces while wearing zit-cream, and Karolina yelling at video games without realizing Nico is filming her.
Officially Tina and Robert are encouraging them to take it slow, but they also have a bet about who’s going to propose first (if they propose simultaneously Amy wins), and when it happens they can have a wedding ready to go in 2 weeks, they just need them to decide on a menu.
