“Dear Callum”
Written by Michal Schick Illustrated by Caleb Thomas
See you again
I just adore how the moon and the sun in tdp share themes of faith, truth and devotion:
"...that piece of your heart isn’t missing. It’s not missing at all, Callum: I’m carrying it with me! Always." --Dear Callum
"I've found my one truth" --6x06
"You are my heart... and my truth. If I ever start to doubt you, I'll know I am truly lost.... do you really still have faith in me?" --6x02
"[Our love for each other] will change, but it will endure" --6x07
7x09 // 6x09 // 2x06 // 2x09 // dear callum // bloodmoon huntress // 7x02
it always was. it was always... her.
Runaan, I’m gonna ask you to do something...
Those words ricocheted in his head as his hands traced the words on his sketchbook.
Callum usually didn’t tear off any page. If he wanted to give Ez a drawing or hang something on his wall, he would draw it on loose paper. But this was an exception, an unfortunate exception.
He would need to give the letter to Runaan, and a single page was easier to carry than a whole book. Plus Rayla wouldn’t notice it at first.
His throat constricted to think about her.
I've got a plan, he had told her. It felt wrong to give her hope only to rip it away from her.
Dear Rayla…
Anyone who’s both a fan of The Dragon Prince (the show, the graphic novels and the short stories) and Star Wars (the shows and more specifically Andor) and is caught up on both?
When you watched Bix’s Goodbye recording to Cassian:
Did you get Dear Callum feels from it? 🥹
- Even if you’re not into both or either but just from watching the clip and reading the short story linked you could probably make a judgement.
ehehehe
So, uh. I just read Rayla's letter from The Dragon Prince.
Yup. Gonna cry now
