Dear Tyler,

IT HAS BEEN AGES.

First of all, I want to say that you just reblogged a post from my friend Liya (topnotchtroyler) and you should follow her on both tumblr and twitter because she’s literally like your number one fan and it’s adorable. 

Secondly, how are you? Seems as though you’re busy again, and I can’t wait to see what’s coming in the future. You’re meeting some of my friends on the book tour, and I’m considering trying to make it down to the Grove for the LA one on the day after my birthday, but unfortunately I’m an hour or so away and I have three classes and an essay on that day, so chances aren’t looking great. I’m so, so proud of you regardless, and hope you’re doing well. 

Thirdly, I just want to say that you are absolutely beautiful, inside and out, and I would give anything for you to be able to see that the way that I and so many others do.

Hoping to write more in the future, although I’ve been busy. Take care, Ty.

Dear Tyler,

I've been crying all night and my suicidal urges are slowly unearthing themselves again, so in a last-ditch effort to make myself feel slightly better, I went to your channel to watch the video I accidentally skipped, called Gay-Dar.

And it worked for awhile. Just hearing you talk and seeing your smile makes me smile, too. And then.... "Adie asks if you have any advice for people whose lives are not so great right now."

And I'm crying again. I've tried to be a good person, you don't even understand how hard, and it's never enough. I'm never enough for anyone, myself, my friends, my parents. I'm just waiting to die, Tyler, that's literally all my life has come down to, and it's scary. It's fucking terrifying. Death sounds like a congratulations now, a reward for suffering just long enough.

I'm sorry. This letter is a mess. I just... thank you. Thank you for all the times you've made me feel better. I'm sorry that those times appear to be coming to an end, but I want you to know that you've helped me a lot. I love you.

Dear Tyler,

I HAVE NOT WRITTEN SINCE OCTOBER THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS

Well I mean there's Thanksgiving, being sick, finals, Christmas, and college apps, but I still should've written. I'm sorry.

I hope you're doing well! Saw you on Sydnye (stayed up til 5:30 oops) and it looked like you were having a blast! Like I wrote in Troye's letter, I'm glad that you're alright--even though it was dismissed as a hoax, the rumored Muslim threats to Sydney really worried me, and I was praying you would be okay. Glad to hear you are.

I'm not really sure what to say, anymore. I already wrote to Troye about my insecurities about starting a YouTube channel (being younger than the group of you guys that I idolize; I'm 17), so really, there's not too much on my mind. Granted, that's probably because it's almost 6 am and I haven't slept, but oh well.

Anyways, keep everything up, queen. I was rewatching Conler videos and dying laughing tonight; please, please more collabs? Also: I got a VidCon ticket for Christmas. You are my ONLY favorite YouTuber that I did not get to see at the last VidCon and the ONLY one of my favorites that I have yet to meet, so you better be at VidCon 2015, I MUST MEET YOU. Please.

Dear Tyler,

Hey Tyler! Long time since my last letter, hope you don't mind. I've been super busy with school, and am not caught up on videos and psychobabble yet, so don't kill me and more importantly, NO SPOILERS. (i've got my priorities in order, yeah.)

How have you been? I don't know if I mentioned it in my last letter, or when I even wrote my last letter, but I am absolutely in love with your blue hair. It's gorgeous. I really did like the lavender and platinum-y colors, and the mint was fantastic, but you have yet to let me down with your fantastic color choice. I'm thinking pink next? I guess I have yet to find out.

So I think for Halloween, all the YouTubers should go dress up as each other and post a video as whoever they're impersonating. Wouldn't that be hilarious? Go, Team Internet! (My costume is a batman onesie, by the way. Bow down.)

Anyways, I just wanted to write because I'm in a really good mood because I turned seventeen today! Hopefully you're in just as high spirits. Take care, and I'll write again soon!

Dear Tyler,

I'm going to stop putting that stupid paragraph at the beginning of my letters. I'm not sure you'll ever find this blog, so it's probably just been a waste of space, and I hope that you will know if you ever see these letters that I care about you a whole heck of a lot without me having to tell you.

So, with that being said, how are you? Sorry, I feel like I'm coming across sort of angrily or something right now. Just a little tired, but I hope you're having a great day. I saw that you met Julie Chen recently--congrats! And I've been addicted to Psychobabble, just thought I'd let you know. It sounds like you've been having a good time, but who knows? People are more than what you see on the surface, and I hope your happiness is spread inside and out.

I was just thinking--you're my only "favorite" YouTuber that I have yet to meet. I didn't get a chance to meet you at VidCon this past year because it was my first VidCon and I wasted almost a full day confused about where I should be going, but I met Korey, Troye and Connor (twice for him, actually). You four are my favorite YouTubers, and all this reflection has made me realize that I want to meet you more badly than I thought. Yeah, you've liked one of my text posts from another account, but internet connection (no matter how fantastic) will never equate to a hug from the queen himself. New life goal!

So I probably can't write this for much longer, because I'm babysitting right now and am probably overdue on feeding my little brother, but I just wanted to check in. It's been 3 weeks since my last letter, so it's about time I wrote again. I wish I could write more often, but college apps and AP homework are drowning me really slowly. Stupid school.

This is run by me with the help of any willing fans of yours, and each of us love you and hope that you’re doing well, whenever you read this. When the letter is from me, the manager of the blog, the signature will always be the same: “With love, a friend” with maybe a few x’s or ♥’s. Other letters will be signed or anonymous from other fans, but I think I’ll remain a mystery for now. My goal isn’t to let you know all about me. My goal is to let you know that even if you don’t know me, you’ve always got a friend in me. 

Tyler!!♥ It's been ages since I've written to you. I wrote to Korey yesterday and Troye earlier today, and will probably try to write to Connor tomorrow. I've been insanely busy with school and college stuff, and some newfound friends of mine.

How are you? I can't believe how great Auguest was this year, and am already dying waiting for NEXT Auguest. Or, you could take up that one tumblr user's suggestion of doing a collab with Troye every day for a month. I don't think I'd complain about that either. :) 

I wrote a post months ago how I envy your friendships, and that remains true to this day. I don't know why I'm bringing it up again; maybe because I'm going through another period where I feel lonely because my insecurities eat me alive. But regardless, I wanted to tell you that I hope you're keeping those friendships up. They're beautiful and worth more than you know. 

Well Tyler, that's all I've got for you for now, I think. Having one-way conversations is sort of hard, especially when you don't know me. I'm not sure what to say to you right now; sometimes I can just spout out stories and words, but there are times like now when all I feel is a little lost.

AHH! Special Auguest is already killing me! I'm so glad Korey was one of your guests (although I can't even imagine Special Auguest without him), and I absolutely cannot wait for more! I'm definitely expecting some videos from Zoe, Joe, Alfie, Sawyer, Connor and Troye too--please don't disappoint! ;) Just kidding, I don't think you possibly could disappoint me with your videos! Everything's been wonderful so far, and I'm dying to see what's coming next.

Oh, and when you asked what color to dye your hair--dark blue. Some sort of blue that will bring out your eyes. Do. It.

So I tweeted you earlier asking if I should get "I Am Not Myself These Days" on audible or if I should get a hard, paper copy. I tried using audible.com/tyleroakley, but I guess I'll just get the paper book, because I don't want to pay for a membership. Maybe that sounds stupid, but I don't have the money to spend $15 a month after my 30 days run out, and I definitely am going to want access to this book after a month. So hard copy it is.
