I just recently lost my cat I've had for 18 years. I lost her brother the year before. Both cats were old and really sick at the end and were put down to end their suffering. May I please have Gladiolus and Cor helping their S/O heal? Thank you ever so much.
Oh my goodness, My Dear, the lost of a loved one is never easy. I’m so sorry. I hope these ease the pain just a little. I do apologize that it is so late.

Gladiolus
The second you walked in your apartment, you felt the strong warm arms of Gladiolus surround you. Knowing that he used his spare key to enter your apartment, he moved you towards the couch, where you favorite take out was waiting for you, along with a few DVDs of some silly movies to get your mind of the most recent lost.
He understood how much, you little friend meant to you. Hell, the little devil grew on him too.
“I’m gonna miss the way she would headbutt me in the morning.” Gladiolus chuckled, holding you tightly in his arms. “Remember that time, we had to get her down from the fridge for her meds and she just wasn’t having it.”
“She scratched you up really good.” You smiled, trying to hold in the tears.
“Taken out by a cat, I fought Behemoths and won but that cat kicked my ass.” Gladiolus chuckled, only to notice the new wave of tears that began to fall from your eyes. “It’s all right, Babe, let it out. You know that you were a good friend to her, and she lived a long a full life.”
“I just miss her,” You cried softly.
“I know, Babe, I know.” Gladiolus whispered, pulling you into his lap, as he pressed your face to his shoulder. “She was a sassy little diva, up until the very end. I mean just last week, she tried to trip me coming out the bathroom.”
You giggled fondly, leave it to Gladiolus to remind you of the joy, rather than the sorrow that you felt this morning. You still felt hurt, and you were sad, but there was a small lingering amount of happiness and joy within your heart at the recall of you dearly depart friend.
“Thank you, Gladdy.”
“No need to thank me, Babe.”

Cor
A week, it had been a week since you had lost a bestfriend that you had for years, almost 2 decades. You knew, that even though you had planned it, and she was old and tired, that it was going to be rough. To come home to a silent home, no little meows, no little paps, no fighting for paws to stay out your food.
The morning you took her in, you were a little surprised to see Cor sitting in the living room, stroking her back, as she rested on his lap.
“Cor?”
The man turned to you with a soft smile, “She just jumped up here, it would be rude to move a lady.”
You smiled softly, your little one was the reason that Cor and you had been together for so long, as he was one of the very select few to pass the kitty test.
Sitting down on the couch beside the man, you felt tears swell in your eyes as you heard the soft purr, no longer as loud as it use to be. Unable to stop the tears as that little paw reached out patting at your lap.
“If you would like, I can take her.” Cor offered, as you shook your head. “We’ll go whenever you’re ready. I’ve taken the day off.”
You leaned into Cor, as he moved your little kitten over to your lap, wrapping an arm around your shoulders as you hugged your best friend for the last morning.
The entire way to the vet, Cor held your hand tightly, another reaching out to stroke the little ones head fondly. You stayed the entire time, Cor standing to the side, as the vet came and left, holding your best friend as she took her last breaths. A pur filling her chest, as she passed peacefully in your arms.
Cor moved over, as he heard your sobs become worse, curling one arm around you in an embrace, his other hand resting on her side. “I have seen this many times, but it never becomes easier. I am here for you, always.”
So stepping into your shared apartment today, you couldn’t help but smile at the little urn on the mantle, that wasn’t there the day before, besides the pictures of you and Cor. A little photograph of your best friend, being the little diva that she was.
“Cor.” You cried weakly stepping into the room, as the man approached you from the back. Your arms immediately surrounding him in a hug. “Thank you.”
Cor placed a kiss to your forehead, “It’s not home without her.”
