she doesn’t notice the small shifting next of the man beside her at first, noticing it when the warmth and form, that she was always use to being behind or just beside her, moves from where it’d been all night.

she’s not expecting the compliment, after all the very laughter he’s complimenting had been at the smallest of things, a small joke that he’d said off handedly.
