They are neither living nor dead, something suspended in between.

Though once rooted in a clear sense of purpose, that certainty has begun to erode. The memory of the one or something that once gave meaning to their existence is slipping away, leaving behind only fragments of conviction. Still, they continue, clinging to the idea of “good”even as its meaning grows increasingly unclear.

With a single strike of their blade, rot spreads rapidly and without mercy, reducing the target to unrecognizable decay. Their sword, flesh, rusted and consumed by mold, remains unnaturally sharp.

I was told that my art reminded them of Made in Abyss. I am so glad to hear that. I am trying to express some dark experiences cutely and colorfully. I like the contrast haha.

Folio 1 : Section 2 Final Piece

A re-upload of my final piece with better lighting. 

Painting to sound. Inspired by Everything At The End Of Time by The Caretaker. I used coffee as a base then painted over it in ink to give it depth, fixed tracing paper and grease proof paper using a running stitch. Final touches done with gold leaf and attached oyster shell buttons ✨

The Secret of Aromaling Seedlings

Aromaling babies begin their lives in the form of seeds. To aid their growth, elder Aromalings dress the seedlings in special "carrion wraps," providing essential nutrients for their development. Over time, the seeds absorb these nutrients, sprout, and grow. Once they reach a certain stage, the seedlings naturally evolve into distinct forms based on their unique personalities and talents: the steadfast and courageous Garliclings, the warm and nurturing Gingerlings, or the wise and contemplative Staranlings.
