It's the end of the day at Auradon Prep. Red is just about to nod off to sleep when a groan sounds from the other side of the room. Sitting up, Red sees Chloe, who hasn't moved from her seat at her desk in the last hour.

"What's up, Chlo?" Red asks from her position on her bed.

"Geometry," Chloe groans again. "I'm on the last problem, and I've been staring it for like fifteen minutes and haven't gotten anywhere! None of these numbers make any sense!" Letting out another groan, she lets her head fall onto the table. "God, I just wanna go to bed!"

Red walks over to Chloe's desk and crouches next to her. Putting a hand on the back of her chair, she tilts the paper to get a better look at it.

"Ok, so it looks like you used the geometric mean theorem to find the sides, and then..." Red inspects her work even closer, when her eyes catch. "Ah! You didn't use the inverse of the function to find the angle measures, that's why the numbers don't make sense. So you'd have to do the inverse of tan—"

"—Equals eight over fifteen!" Chloe cuts in, her face lighting up. In her excitement, she grabs the side of Red's face and kisses her right on the cheek. "Red, you're a genius!"

Suddenly flustered, Red stutters a response. "Uh, yeah! Yeah I, I try my best!"

"Thank you Red! Sleep is finally near!" Chloe exclaims, turning her attention back to her paper with a grin. She solves the problem in less than thirty seconds, seemingly unfazed at what just happened. "And... done!"

Red sighs a laugh. "No problem, Princess." Red flops back onto her bed, staring up at the ceiling.

God, she's so cute.

The thought came out of nowhere, so much so that it had almost startled Red. She hadn't thought of anyone in that way before, but she guessed it made sense. The way Chloe got excited by math of all things certainly was endearing, to say the least. But that didn't mean she had any feelings that were more than platonic, right?

Reds hand finds its way to the spot on her cheek where Chloe's lips had been just minutes earlier. She thinks about all the time they've spent together, how close they got in such a short time, and how in that time Red decided she would never leave Chloe's side.

Red looks back at her roommate, who is now finally getting ready to go to bed.

And she realizes, maybe those feelings are more than platonic after all.

Decendants au exept much like in the original hooks from a wealthy and respected family in London and one night they attend a circus performance in the royal Albert hall and morgie is one of the contortionists and he's a shape shifter (gotta love a mix of magic and non magic) kinda like nagini in fantastic beasts exept for the permanence and hooks like hot damn straight away and morgie introduces himself and he's like "good evening lady's and gentle men, my names morgan, and shockingly I'm hear with camelot circus and my last name is inafact le fay, pause for laughter, and my mothers name is atually morgana and she has a brother called arthur, what are the odds, I'm a contortionist and a shape shifter and I am absolutely not used to such delightful quarters, I hope you have a nice evening, hopefully nice enough that you'll come again and spend all your money!" And everyone's laughing but hooks like, absolutely yes I will be and they meet (perhaps hook waits around one night when hes not with his parents and morgie sneeks up on him and is like "hello not-so-stranger, how many shows is this now? 5? 6?" And hooks like "5, but i have tickets for a 6th.. I'm hook, ..james hook, merchant father," and morgies like "fancy, arnt posh toffs like yourself supposed to be followed around by some person making sure you dont blunder or something?" And hooks like "no, im a guy i dont have a chaperone" and morgies like "ah my mistake sir") and get to know each other and morgie shows hook the behind the scenes and how he does everything and how he trains and then they fall in love and kiss and they get to be secret gay weirdos together

Decendants au, but its hook and morgie in there last few months at merlin Academy after dating for a couple of years taming about their feature, hook talks about how exited he is to sale the seas and get revenge on pan in never land and morgie talks about how exited he is to return to the forests in camelot and practice his ancient magic and the old ways. Only for them to pause and look at each other, they knew this was coming, what was to come of them? The love they shared caused such and ache in their heart in that moment that it was sickening, hook, his voice cracking barely above a whisper says that he'll miss morgie and that despite his excitement he'll miss him with such an intensity he may never rest, that he loves him and that after all villians arnt supposed to get a happy ending and morgie after a moment swallows and asks if that will really be it, if it has to be? Hook responds with how different their dreams are, how different they are really, How he wishes on the neverland stars that it wasn't the way it was but morgie pauses and asks why, why does it have to end, hooks confused and re instates the pirate vs sorcerer, sea vs land, ship vs cottage but morgie just looks at him and says, why can't they have both, morgie a cottage in camelot, james a ship, and every time his ship comes to land, with a bit of help from morgies magic,they come see one another, give hook a home to come back to, a darling one could say. Hook would look at morgie as if the stats had aligned, with hopeful shock and agrees, they talk about the letters they would write, how hook can have a boy back home essential, how they could have everything they wanted provided there safe, and with a few goodluck charms and protection spells from morgie hook would never have to die at sea, at the hands of his rival, how they could have there own secret happily ever after, even if there revenge plots fail and the wind in hooks sail grows still he'll allways have his sorcerer to come home to with a sweet kiss and a smile.
