WONDER WOMAN #799
Dignum Mortem, Dedit Vitae
The meaning is on the picture. Worthy of Death, Given Life.
We human beings have transgressed against the Lord, Jesus Christ. Before salvation, we lived a mercy-filled life. God shows us mercies after mercies, allowing us to live another day. To take just another breath. God cannot abide sin. We, being transgressors of His law, are worthy of a punishment fit for a sinner.
But that's not the end. We have a promise of peace that we may accept. Not a gift that we can merit, otherwise it would cease to be a gift.
God gives us eternal life through the death and resurrection through Jesus Christ. That's why the saving message of Jesus Christ is called The Good News. It's the Gospel.
