The “Richest” Person in School is a Poor Ikimen

It may seem like a cheesy line from “It’s a Wonderful Life,” but it’s a saying that really fits someone like Isogai.

He may not have a lot of money or a high reputation like Gakushuu does, but as long as he has his friends by his side, he can hardly consider his life something to pity.

And obviously the students feel they are lucky to have such an incredible leader and friend in this Poor Ikimen of theirs.

Let Bygones be Bygones

Heh, he really reminds me of Draco Malfoy. He’s such a prissy and stubborn kid.

But even though they’re still rivals for the most part, Isogai and the Class have always recognized him, and even admired his skills both in school and on the field.

And while he’s more than reluctant to accept a handshake from those who’d humiliated him for the second (third if you count Takebayashi’s incident from before XD) time, I’m sure one day he’ll acknowledge them with more respect too.

Although that might not be for a long time, Gakushuu can’t keep holding a grudge against these guys forever; especially if one day they come to his aid.

((Which seems inevitable considering what had previously had happened to him with the Chairman, and with the students who can completely sympathize with him.))

A Change in the Air

With the Athletics Festival brought to close, the students of Class E are able to take a moment to bask in the aftermath of their victory.

As I’d said before, the many opportunities in which Class E was able to demonstrate their skills to the school has gradually been causing a positive change within the system.

From the results of their Semester Final to this Boutaoshi Game, the students who attend the main school building no longer seem ready to turn their noses at them, or scamper away for fear of being persecuted in trying to associate with them.

Instead they are praised and held in high esteem as though the rumors and reputation were just old stories.

And the fact that it is mostly the younger students who are beginning to see the Class in a better way makes this win a lot more special to the students who had gone through a long period of abuse and mistreatment from everyone.

And yes Okajima, you guys ARE awesome.

The Result of Failures

Unfortunately for Gakushuu, this failure brings him to another patronizing session with his father, who looks smugger about the results than disappointed or angry. ((Although he could just be hiding it ‘really’ well, which is something to be worried about.))

Just like Takebayashi and Kanzaki, Gakushuu’s actually got it pretty hard with a father who feels that perfection and success should come natural in his life as well as his family’s.

And his repeated failures against Class E are likely chipping away at that concept that is the foundation of the Chairman’s views, bringing nothing but cruel exploitation to serve as his “motivation” to grow stronger. ((Or more like so he doesn’t continue to be an eyesore for him. Seriously, where’s his mom in all of this? (Ծ д Ծ)))

Although it’d be great if eventually Gakushuu somehow becomes part of Class E, considering the positive reputation that is rising for them, he’ll likely find a much harsher way to punish him the next time he should lose when expected to win.

Again, sorry your dad is such an ass, Gakushuu.

Yup, he's DEFINITELY one of them.

The idea of him and Karma working together as the "Imp Duo" is MOST intriguing. I'm looking forward to these two getting along for some sort of prank in the near future. XD

Always Have a “Secret Weapon” to Spare

Yay! That’s my baby. X3

With each hidden hand revealed on Class E’s part, they close the Boutaoshi Game with one last display of their incredible skills by launching their special trump card to the very top to take down the pole at last.

Thanks to the amount of physical training he did with Shiro back when he was working under him as his “pupil,” his athletic abilities are practically on par with everyone, and easily takes down Class A’s “flag” to obtain total victory for their team.

It just goes to show how far these boys are willing to go to protect their friend and classmate.
