Announcement- The new PoetsElixir members!!

Hello everyone!

Yesterday we had put a notice that we, at @poetselixir were short of members. Many, many of you applied and we are very grateful and overwhelmed by the interest you have shown. We had a really hard time choosing.

We had said that we were on the lookout for only 2 members but we simply couldn't pick just two of you guys so-

To those who applied and aren't chosen- We apologize for not including you (we really wanted to but we unfortunately have a limit) but honestly all of you are wonderful writers and we look forward to reading and reblogging more of your work. :)

Step over a pile of cruched leaves;

Autumn came in whispering

secrets we never bothered to tell.

Between love and death, lovers remain together ;

songs of despair with trills and rattles,

in the autumn moonlight,

a nightingale nesting in leaves and twigs.

A hand reaching out,

time slipping away from our grasp;

steps echoing every verse,

a flower hidden under the burnt sienna of leaves

Oh, autumn you come upon tenderly

swelling and bringing sweet surprises; you are the fall and the humble abode of this equinox

intermittently delighting everyone's heart.

But I guess, this fall,

you didn't see me hiding

under the shade of the sun;

My heart reached out to feel my lover's touch but she had already

blown away with the wind

In the silence of the sky

I close my eyes

To the clouds in my hands

Syncing the letter I handwrote

And inked in my heartbeats

For you, with the night

In hope that when dawn awakes

You see the trail- kissed

Blotches on the sheet

And while I wait for

The sun to rise

I sit down and have a conversation

With the stars that shelter my head

Telling them about the time

My heart had burned

when you had touched my soul

With your smiles
