This is from an old record that was set up as an informative and educational aid to learn about the american alternative hipster community and lingo. It was a joke, a comedy record, and the beatnik “Geets Romo” is played by actual hipster and improv pioneer Del Close. And I’m always amazed at how on-target the whole thing is. This track, which is about paranoia, is something that’s actually happened to me. This was not something americans were hearing in 1961, it was like taking an audio safari into this strange alien culture

How to Speak Hip is a record for English speaking people who want to talk to, amd be inderstood by jazz musicians, hipsters, beatniks, juvenile delinquents and the criminal fringe.

This is a comedy album released in 1959 by Del Close and John Brent and always a facv of mine. I had to include the full booklet.
