ralsei's chapter five sprites are on the spriters resource website so don't mind me as i be so normal about my favorite deltarune character

This small part of the chapter was so adorable too bro the way ralsei just gently goes like "here" and takes kris's hands to carefully guide them through the spikes just awwwhhhwh ralsei cares so much bro he is being so gentle and hesitant cause' he doesn't want to hurt them & it's breaking the rules,, ofc there's Susie who's been walking through spikes since chapter one XD

i was also gonna add the sprites of when you repeatedly fail the puzzle after turning off ralsei's in the menu with the text "ralsei is done with your shit" but. tumblr limits my power. speaking of that if you do that flowery will throw pollen at ralsei making him cough and the animation is SO adorable dude. poor ralsei. spent the last chapter STRESSING the whole time and spent this whole chapter angry/annoyed (i'm all for it ralsei please keep being yourself i'll love you no matter what you're too precious)

I wonder if (and hope 😂) we’ll get a Kris and Noelle vs Ralsei and Susie fight in chapter six. Before chapter five I thought that might be a possibility in weird route, now I’m thinking it could happen in normal route. I think Susie will find out about Kris working with the knight. She is putting the pieces together, if not in denial of that fact. I can see her being upset with Ralsei for not telling her what he knows, but putting that aside to deal with Kris. So where does Noelle fall into this? Susie bringing Noelle to Castle Town isn’t going to go well. She’s stressed and dealing with Rudy possibly being dead if not severally injured. Once she is told everything in Cyber City was real, her trust in Susie may falter a bit. Once she figures out what Kris and Carol are doing and shit hits the fan. Who would Noelle choose? Susie and Ralsei, two people who she started to get to know. Not to mention feeling betrayed by Susie. Or Kris and Carol, her childhood friend and mother. Possibly with a plan to get Dess and Rudy back. As much as Noelle loves Susie, I think her choice would be to aid the knight. With these two on the same side and Susie and Ralsei being in their way, the four are forced into a battle.

I need to talk about how insane this used to make me before ch 3 and 4 released. Back then not as many people shipped Krusie. I know this has been mentioned before, how the pink colour that Susie has is presented in Kris’ room. How it’s definitely intentional. I’m not here to say anything deep I just want to share how INSANE this made me before we got more Krusie content.

HHHH ok as someone who’s aroace Kris’s friendship with Susie means SO MUCH to me. It’s really hard to explain but having them just be super-duper-close best friends makes me so happy. Don’t get me wrong, I get where the Krusie shippers come from, I totally do. It’s pretty common for people who are that close to typically be seen as romantic because, sadly, it’s not super common for people to be that close and seen as any other way. (Heck, even me and my best friend are similar and for YEARS people who we don’t even know personally thought we were dating.) Not that I have anything against Krusie though, I could see it working out. But keeping it platonic is so important to me personally because it really shows that there are other forms of love and bonding and closeness and all of that good stuff that dont need to be romantic! Not everything is about romance! You can trust and love your friend deeply and be affectionate and supportive and they can even be your entire world and it can still be platonic!

As someone who only wants to be a close with someone as a romantic partner minus the romance, seeing platonic Krusie makes me very happy. (I also like to think Kris is also Aroace based off of no evidence other than I said so. Even then, if they wernt, it’s still cool bc it shows that even people who arnt aro can still have meaningful, platonic relationships with others)

(also also worth saying it would be really funny if berdly was also aroace and him and kris dated but platonically that’d be so funny just saying)

i was in english today, and while studying macbeth i realised that deltarune literally fits a tragedy. So, sorry if this has been said before, but im going to rant abt how deltarune fits a classic 'tragedy'.

1- Exposition

deltarune starts by introducing a tragic hero, your goner or kris? I mean youd think this , but moreso susie being the tragic hero is more fitting for reasons ill get to later (assuming susie true hero theory is correct, as it would fit a tragedy this way)

2- rising action

This is where i find it most interesting. in macbeth, here is where the power of the three witches came into pay, and "fate" and "supernatural" is what is the common theme for this part of the tragedy. So, this would equate to gaster // his presence. And thats everything , the secret bosses, friend, everything. And just like the witches, he makes his prescence known through subtext, just like they do. Like you know the rhyming couplets are the witches influence, we know all caps and VERY VERY are tied to gaster. And, gasters influence can literally be felt everywhere it seems.

3- climax

This is what i believe to be the titan fight. Also with the prophecy. As we know , the tragic hero has a fatal flaw and will be predetermined to die for this. So, this "fate" is exactly what susie finds out, which would check out with the context clues that we get from ch4. (this would then in turn fit the 'susie true hero' theory) The titan fight is whats used for that one promotional shot, so i guess its not far of a stretch to say its the climactic action? i mean, its grand as hell so yeah

4- falling action

Where i believe where chapter 5 or maybe 6 will be? It might be a more 'laid back' chapter, but instead revealing more about relationships? around here and maybe later is where susie will 'meet her fate'. What that is , i cant theorise that far. I literally cant say anything else other than its the "calming down after the serious action"

5- resolution

This is what i believe to be the "angels heaven". The final cleanse and purge after the tragedy. Makes sense it would have SOMETHING to do with noelle, as yes i stand with suselle. /lh

I HATEEE WHEN PEOPLE GIVE KRIS A SPECIFIC GENDERED GENDER. THEY ARE SPECIFICALLY NON BINARY AND ITS HEAVILY IMPLIED Yes. I am well aware that people can view characters and have their own views/headcanons. But this is mine. Kris being non-binary is a heavy part of their character. It shows the difference in them and the player who tries to customize them at the start of the game. It separates them and the player. Its also very important to my non binary heart because you often see gendered characters but I rarely see characters who aren't specified. Kris is heavily implied to only use they/them. Toby Fox even used it, and not once in the game does anyone refer to Kris as anything else. I consistently see on places that people give Kris he/him, which AGAIN everyone has their own opinions but like GRGRHGSDGHDESGH Kris being non binary is important, and plus its representation for some non binary folks who don't often get characters who share the same gender. Not that I can ever find anyways. Just my opinion, i DONT care if you disagree and if you be a hater you can eat my block button ♡

Thinking about how both Kris and Noelle understand too well what it's like to live in the shadow of an older sibling, how they're defined by the absence of another

Both have likely gotten used to hearing "Asriel's sibling" or "Dess's sister" instead of their own names at times, I wouldn't be surprised. Every day they're both reminded of the void their siblings left behind, that they can never hope to fill on their own - Kris waking up next to their brother's awards, everything just as he'd left it. Noelle passing her sister's bedroom door, which has become more like a monument or a pharaoh's tomb of sorts, closed off and suspended in time.

Both their lives changed dramatically around the same time their siblings left the picture. When Asriel, glue of the Dreemurr family left for college, the divorce and all the changes that come with it were probably soon to follow. Now, Kris is continually reminded of how much the people around them (namely Asgore and Tenna) cling to the past, to how much better things were when Asriel was around. Not to mention finding Toriel drunk and dancing with some guy. It wasn't necessarily wrong of Toriel to do this, but it's not easy having to reckon with the fact that your parents are flawed beings like everyone else.

In Noelle's case, she not only lost her sister, but is also actively losing her father to illness. And even if Carol keeps things hidden, it's likely Noelle can feel her mother losing herself to grief as well. Noelle's really good at staying positive, but she might feel like she has to keep it together for Carol's and Rudy's sake. She might feel like she has to just keep her problems to herself, keep smiling, keep Being Good so that her overwhelmed parents don't need to worry any more than they already are.

And what's so tragic about it all is that it doesn't seem like Kris and Noelle have ever had the chance to bond over this pain they share. They're both carrying such a tangible yet unacknowledged emotional burden and are kept from finding solace or understanding in one another. Noelle tries to build some rapport with Kris by referencing their time as childhood friends, but she never receives the camaraderie and comforting familiarity she seeks in return. She has no way of knowing why Kris is no longer the person they are in her memories. Kris is just another person Noelle has lost, physically present but not really there the way they used to be - just like her mom and dad.

So yeah just thinking about that!! I hope they both finally get to cry and yell and complain together about how much it all sucks, if they want to
