Remember when some people were theorizing that Kris shoved berdly's body into the closet to cover their tracks after the snowgrave route?????
Like that somehow makes what ACTUALLY happened almost even MORE tragic.
Like so many people were ready to leave him for dead; and almost took for granted that Kris would too.
But they had enough hope to stumble to the library and drag him to the hospital in the dark, they didn't just want him to live, they FOUGHT for him to live.
They wouldn't leave him for dead, no matter the cost.
They cared for him when nobody else would, even though it was dangerous.
Just thinking about the fact that Kris might've had a childhood crush on Noelle and that they also definitely have a crush on Susie and realized it's the worst Love Triangle if you happen to be on Kris' end
Yes, I know the dialogue option with Noelle could also mean that Noelle liked them too ever since they were child, but I personally just can't see that she likes them in the present.
Ugh, they COULD be fixed with polyamory but idk if we can realistically get that with only two chapters left in the game that's supposedly way more serious and will likely introduce us to a Suselle conflict rather than giving us more (happy) Kriselle content.
Maybe I'm just used to my multishipper ass never getting what it wants and trying not to get hurt by the end 💔 I wish they could just be poly and be done with it, please Toby.
Although, I posted this on Twitter and everyone in my replies was telling me I was very optimistic in thinking that Suselle would not be doomed by next chapter. Personally, I just think... the conflict Toby set up with Susie and Noelle will be resolved sooner or later because they really are just the endgame couple, so I don't even considered them doomed. Unless it's an aborted weird route, then I think that could actually get in the way of their relationship blooming healthily...
The Festival is full of heartbreaks & that makes Suselle Weird
So I’m a krusie Main and this thing is made in total bias but Let me rant for a second here!
SPOILERS BELOW
First of all, congratulations to Suselle fans. You all lucky bastards are absolutely eating this chapter.
That being said, I have some (very strong) complicated feelings about how Suselle is handled in Chapter 5. In short, their development feels strangely out of place within the larger context of the Festival (and the whole chapter, honestly), and I think that's intentional by Toby’s design.
The Festival, as we know it, according to the Hometown’s residents tell us is practically built around Romance and Love.
To start there's the tradition of voting for a Festival King and Queen, two people that are set to “lead” the last attraction to the festival. Those who are voted are often couples themselves! This title is something Asgore and Toriel won repeatedly many time back when they were together.
Not only that many of the festival activities/games are designed so that only couples can participate. Like how the strength-testing game was modified so that two people have to play it together.
Oh, and speaking about Asgore, flowers are everywhere in the festival, and of course, what better way to show your love than by gifting flowers.
Love is supposedly everywhere today.
But when you actually look at what's happening around town, the Festival isn't full of romance. It's kinda full of heartbreak instead.
There are so few characters that are canonically proven to be in a relationship in Hometown, and somehow most of them are seen to be alone at the Festival.
As we all know, Asgore and Toriel are still separated. The very first thing Asgore talks about that morning when they met Kris is how deeply in love they once were and how the town adored them as a couple, voting the two as the King and Queen on the Festival. This is a memory that has been repeatedly retold by him even after YEARS of not being together with her. The contrast between those memories and his current situation couldn't be more painful for him.
Rudy is seen setting up lights alone while Carol is elsewhere near the Shelter. We already know their family has been struggling, between December's disappearance and Rudy's worsening condition. And while Ruddy and others can excuse her being busy as she is THE Mayor of the city, we all know that is bullshit, and she is just using it as an excuse (also, who the hell would leave their sick husband alone setting up lights on top of ladders, huh??)
Snowy's dad is nowhere to be found. We rarely ever got to see him (only in chapter 4 actually), but we do know he does go out of the apartment on important days like on Saturday for church and/or important reasons like visiting his wife’s grave. But why is he not out today? Maybe it’s because Sans is literally blocking the doorway and he couldn’t get out, or maybe he just doesn't want to participate in this festival centered around love when his own wife is no longer here with him.
Heck, even Mr. Cattinheimer is standing around by himself, with Mrs. Cattinheimer nowhere in sight. (I fukin looked everywhere) These two are constantly seen together hyping up their daughters and each other’s, but not today of all days?? Sus.
(Also adding to the missing couples pile, there's December and Asriel, the "perfect couple" of their generation. One is away at college. The other has been missing for years.)
Then there’s that Pizzapants Pizza girlfriend situation, which somehow manages to leave somebody heartbroken regardless of who you choose to encourage to stand and be Pizzapants’ duet partner. Picking either BlueBunny or Bratty was a fukin nightmare for me cause those two became so TOXIC omg.
Picking Bluebunny will lead to Pizzapants crashing out at BB (valid) and BB no longer acknowledging Bratty as a friend. Picking Bratty to stand up led to Pizzapant happy with his own fantasy, yes, and at least Bratty got unlimited pizza out of it, but god, the way BB just smiles at you as he says he wants to name an ice cream inspired by her POISON is WILD.
In the end, I pick Catty to be friends with Pizzapants cause at least they’re only bandmates now, and it also only leaves Bluebunny in melancholy sadness of not being the one to make Pizzapants happy and Bratty in jealous denial of her own obvious affection for Catty. LOOK, IT'S THE LEAST DISTRUSTIVE REACTION WE GET, OKAY.
Moving on
At the church, Catti sees Susie and Noelle holding hands, starts crying, and runs away. That's not a normal "just friends" reaction because we also now know that Catti herself only ever hated Susie after Noelle told Catti that she liked Susie. That confirms it for me that she must have had feelings for Noelle too and just got her heart broken seeing her crush getting together with the new mean girl in town.
And then there's Kris.
Poor Kris spends the entire day third-wheeling Suselle's first date while actively trying to respect their privacy and keep the player from intruding. They have to be an active audience to their crush falling in love with their childhood bestfriend. (TOBY IF YOU WANT TO KIL ME THEN YOU JUST SHOOT ME DEAD ALREADY THIS IS FUKIN CRUEL MAN!)
Anyway, my point is
Aside from Susie and Noelle, almost nobody is actually experiencing romance at this festival.
AND THAT is why Suselle feels so strange to me in this chapter.
We're supposed to believe that these two girls are getting a perfect, happy romantic breakthrough right in the middle of a festival where everyone else is either chillin or experiencing heartbreak, is lonely, in a failed relationship, in grief, or in separation?
I don't buy it.
That whole scene in the Lake feels like a trap and it fukin is I tell you!!
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to get new Suselle content. But the pacing feels incredibly off.
In-universe, Susie and Noelle have only been on a genuinely friendly terms, heck on speaking terms for about two days.
Noelle may has spent months crushing on Susie, sure, but Susie herself has been almost completely oblivious to it. Then suddenly in Chapter 5 she's hyper-aware of Noelle's feelings and seemingly ready to embrace them?
It feels almost too good to be true and it is
The story is deliberately presenting us with the perfect romantic fantasy and daring us to accept it at face value.
And I can’t accept that! Especially because the last time we saw Susie in Chapter 4, she was focused and dead set on finding the code to the shelter and finding a way to stop the Knight. She was serious about preventing whatever terrible future she saw.
So why does that urgency seemingly disappear the next morning?
It’s making her character seems inconsistent. But she is a teen and I can’t really fault Susie for seeking out some happiness in a day that is specifically made so the town folks can have fun and I know Susie must have some sort of affection Noelle and thus she sees the Festival as a chance to get close to her. If the story only explores just that part of their development in their relationship in this chapter then it could have been PERFECT.
Then with the help of Blue and the other flowers Susie can slowly came to the conclusion of what she actually feels for Noelle. It’ll help built up Susie’s character more and help her bond with the Darkeners in the Flower World.
But that’s not what happened.
What feels off to me is that this chapter seems to speed run all of that in the Festival, it is WEIRD how quickly Susie seems to jump from "I like spending time with Noelle" to "Noelle and I are going steady and I’m in love with her."
When I think about it there are two major forces pushing Susie toward that conclusion.
The first is Castle Town and the Dark World's constant encouragement for escapism.
Susie wakes up in Castle Town already immersed in fantasy and escapism. Everyone is excited about her date with Noelle. The Cybercity residents and Lancer are especially enthusiastic for her, hyping her up and encouraging her to focus on having fun.
I’ll talk more about Susie and her addiction to Darkworld escapism.
Cause I want to talk about my second reason to Susie’s weird behavior in chapter 5 its because of the prophecy.
Specifically, the line
"Love finds its way to the girl."
(Side tangent: As players, you and I know LOVE in Toby Fox's games can mean more than romance, care and affection. Because Toby have told us that in his game the words have another meaning, and many of us dread this line of the prophecy because of that second meaning.
But that information is something known possibly only to us, but for sure Susie doesn't know that LOVE can mean “Level Of Violence”
No, to Susie, LOVE is just love. The good fluffy feeling of affection. There was never any thought about it mean anything else.)
Anyway.
Imagine being a kid like Susie, someone we know has been starved for affection her entire life (due something problematic in her family life we have not yet known about). Then one day she learns that you’re actually one of the 3 heroes chosen to save the world by a prophecy, finally after years of being told she’s not good enough to do anything, the world itself has chosen you to be someone important, and in that prophecy, the world also literally tells her alongside her destiny to save the world, it says that love is part of her destiny.
And even with the day ending with her facing the literal Titan, seeing Toriel Drunk not even caring about how she and her child literally almost died looking for her, Susie escaped once more to the world that is filled with her friends, and for just a moment forget about the world being in danger and remind herself of all the good thing she have right now here in Castle town.
Susie is reminded tomorrow she’s about to go on a date with someone who openly adores her. (and Susie thinks is cool as well)
Of course Susie would connect those dots as something that proved the Prophecy had predicted as well. “This must be it! This was what the prophecy says going to happened."
I absolutely believe Susie genuinely likes Noelle. I absolutely believe she could fall in love with Noelle.
But I don't think that's fully what's happening right now.
I think Susie is falling in love with the idea of being loved. She's falling in love with the possibility that somebody finally chose her.And because of that, she's viewing everything through rose-colored glasses.
She lets Castle Town hype her up. She lets Queen and the others dress her up. She pushes for the strength test when Noelle misses her chance. She encourages Noelle to ignore Carol's calls and just enjoy being free.
Everything about the Festival encourages this fantasy.
The lake scene especially feels like something out of a dream.
But then reality crashes back in. Carol finally reaches Noelle and tells her Rudy has been injured. Suddenly, the fantasy breaks.
Noelle came back to the reality that her father is sick. She remembers that her family problems haven't wouldn’t have disappeared by ignoring it. Noelle remembers that she can't simply escape into a perfect romantic day forever.
The dream ends for Noelle for now.
But I don’t end for Susie.
Even during the Dark World section, Susie continues getting reinforced by Darkners and prophecy imagery. More and more people affirm her role as the hero destined for love. And Susie is willing to change herself to fit more into that image, Ralsei says that the Girl wears the Ribbon Armor, and so she did, stating that “hey Noelle might thinks it’s cool right?”.
Yet whenever she's asked anything specific about Noelle, she struggles.
What flowers does Noelle like?
What makes her unique?
What special connection do they share?
Susie doesn't really know.
Because Susie barely knows Noelle. She doesn't know about December. Susie just learned about Noelle's fascination with scary, weird and hidden things.
She doesn't know how close Noelle once was to Kris. She doesn't know why Noelle is friends with people like Catti and Berdly.
What Susie knows about Noelle so far is:
"Noelle is nice" (She gave her food and let her borrows her stuff)
"Noelle is cool" (she stood up to Queen, like video games, and is secretly like Goth stuff)
"Noelle likes me."
And that's normal for young folks who got crushes, the point of having a crush and go on dates is to get to know and learn your partner right?.
But how certain Susie say about how she felt for Noelle, her action says other wise
The soundtrack during the lake scene isn't called "I'm in Love."
It's called "I Guess I'm in Love."
That’s uncertainty, and hesitation.
It sound like someone trying to convince themselves of a feeling they don't fully understand yet.
Susie doesn't actually know whether she's in love with Noelle.
She knows the idea of love and to her it sounds wonderful.
She wants it to be true.
And that's why the entire thing feels like a setup.
Susie has become increasingly attached to the fantasy that the Dark Worlds provide: a place where she's important, chosen, loved, and destined for greatness.
Now she's trying to pull Noelle into that fantasy too.
The problem is that fantasy keeps colliding with reality.
And when someone starts proclaiming love after only two days of genuinely getting to know another person, that's usually not the end of the story. That's the beginning of a problem.
Which is exactly why Suselle feels less like a happy ending and more like a ticking time bomb.
One thing I love love love love love about Deltarune is how it plays with the theme of uncertainty/the unknown/the feeling of not knowing.
Everything even semi-related to FRIEND or Dess is just STEEPED in uncertainty. Find her! Find her!!! Where is she???
Knowledge can hurt you. Jevil, Spamton, and Ralsei all know too much, and it's eating away at their sanity.
The episodic release schedule means that the "deltarune fandom experience" is years of wild speculation occasionally punctuated by chapter releases. What's the Roaring? What does the final prophecy say? We don't know, and that's the point on some level
The framing device for the entire game is Doctor W.D. Gaster, the "mystery man" himself
As Ralsei explains in the opening to Ch. 3, uncertainty is tied in with the nature of the dark worlds. Between the light and dark worlds, at the shadow's edge, where reality and dream meet, you find total mystery.
As you play Deltarune, keep in mind how "being in the dark" can also mean "not knowing."

TLDR:
Each one of them gives something to the table every ship is missing overall. Suselle is sweet but missing closeness, Krusie has chemistry but is missing maturity, and Kriselle has tension but is missing boldness. All three of them are very well written and unique to where all three ships are very well made and they all have their own type of chemistry with one another.
SUSELLE
"Suselle is stereotypical, boring, and Noelle only likes Susie from the outside" NONE OF THOSE ARE TRUE!! IF YOU ACTUALLY GAVE A FUCK ABOUT UNDERSTANDING THE CHARACTERS (esp Noelle) THEN YOU'LL UNDERSTAND.
First stereotypical is only bad when the stereotype is harmful and shallow. Yes it is nerd x strong girl all over again but Noelles whole personality and reasoning for liking Susie isnt that she wants to be saved by some strong butch. She likes Susie because she hates the part of herself that is vulnerable all the time. This is seen throughout the whole game, her father mentions how she gets like "A deer stuck in headlights" when facing her fears, and shes actively trying to be better by exposing herself and eventually feeling comfort in scary things. This is why she adores Susie because she wants to be stronger and the same thing people hate about Susie, Noelle loves and appreciates. (Kriselle part goes abit more into Noelle)
And also Susie definetly likes Noelle back. Have some media literacy people!! Susie is constantly trying to know what Noelle thinks of her, shes always asking questions of if Noelle thinks/dreams of her. She doesnt do that with anyone else. And Susie 'spared' her because she thought her smile was nice?? After chapter 2 she also talks and thinks about Noelle pretty frequently. Thinking about what Noelle would do or like, we dont obviously see into her thoughts all the time but that just proves that when she thought about what Noelle would do that its something to note. Though its not implicitly stated, Susie does have feelings towards Noelle and likely doesnt know what romantic love feels like. Also she tells Kris to look for the clues instead of her despite knowing Kris is close to Noelle more, maybe im looking into it too much but shes definetly interested in knowing more about Noelle and wanting to know what Noelle thinks of her. She never cares about that with others thinks until theyre close.
The two of them together two have really good chemistry. Noelle needs someone who can put her out of her comfort zone and matches her freak (in scary things.) Meanwhile Susie needs someone who can give her reassurance, love her flaws, and be mature enough that Susie doesnt accidentally do something stupid.
KRUSIE
Kris and Susie definetly have the best chemistry out of all the ships. The shippers piss me off though, the 'Cuckelle' memes is really disgusting considering thats a highschool girl youre talking about and the image is likely from rule 34. Theyre the whole reason im making this post in the first place cause yall just dont care about Noelle and it shows. So if you skipped the Suselle part, go the fuck back and maybe try to actually understand Noelle. (Im not saying all Krusie shippers are misogynistic, but this is constantly happening with fandoms hating or ignoring feminine women because they get 'in the way of a ship'. This is why ship wars are always happening because you refuse to see every character equally and respect others opinion)

"Susie used to bully Kris so its weird" Which I feel is a somewhat valid argument for not liking it especially if you have been bullied before, but them as characters make it work. Susies bullying came from a place of jealousy, it hasnt been stated yet but Susie obviously has a bad home life. When Susie mentioned her being treated by Toriel at the Diner, at that point Susie started seeing Toriel as an idolized maternal figure. It seems like every scene Susie was being mean to Kris, she mentions their mom. Susies frustration to Kris comes from a bad childhood and maybe also because shes afraid Toriel told Kris about Susies soft side so tries to seem tougher around them? But not sure.
Kris doesnt give a fuck, or atleast tries to show that they dont. On Noelles blog when she was writing about Susie picking on Kris, Kris seems very nonchalant about everything, even laughing and then saying something to make Susie immediately run off. It may also seem like Kris is just acting but even during the game when Susie almost bites off their head, they just dont move or struggle. (They can move without our influence, just not certain choices and gameplay). Though we dont know why Kris isnt responsive, its likely that they just dont care or some people think they may be suicidal, but I (want to) believe more in the first reason. They understand Susies pain and insecurities and they know she wont actually cause any harm. Though if the second reason they might not care because they dont care about what happens to them, or worse they like that Susie harms them... Getting abit dark, I love character examinations tho so I really might do one of kris one day. >:)
Now for the present, all of their interactions literally make me say "I love these two so much", theyre both just weirdos with maybe violent tendancies and trauma but seem to find comfort with one another which makes everything so much better. They are constantly saving one another, Susie also expresses alot of guilt that they werent friends before. I feel that in future chapters we'll likely go into that hopefully. Susie also gives Kris a sense of freedom. Kris very obviously hates their situation that they have no choice in what to do oe say, Susie just does whatever she wants. Shes constantly dismissing the players choice and pointing out certain things that Kris themself does. She is what Kris needs, someone that they can be goofy with and forget that theyre being controlled. Though, this ship is also a breeding ground for angst
Susie doesnt know Kris. Though Kris's personality shines out sometimes, theres scenes where its obvious that she doesnt understand them. Noelle states that Kris has been acting weird, and its said before Kris knows Noelle better than anyone, this can be seen as vice versa as Noelle was Kris's best friend before they got possessed. But when Noelle says that, Susie says "thats just how Kris is" thinking that Kris is normal when being controlled. Not only that, Susie has major trust issues. She says "Theres nothing I hate more than people who dont tell you the full deal". Theyre really leading us into angst, because Susie is going to be seriously heartbroken when they find out that Kris is in cahoots with the knight (supposedly) and that the person she thought was her first closest friend was actually posessed all along. Also note in the snowgrave route after you and Noelle talk in her room, when youre walking to the chuch with Susie she thinks you were talking bad about her with Noelle. Which KILLS me. Kris isnt able to say anything about it too. It seems like in the snowgrave route Susie is also pretty affected by everything.
Still, I really like the ship based on their chemistry together. Susie is just what Kris needs, platonic or not. Also I love angst but if they dont get a happy ending where Kris and Susie are happy together I will hunt down Tony.
KRISELLE
Besides the very angsty toxic yuri snowgrave route, Kriselle is also very cute and rare in the fandom. Though its not as popular I still think theyre pretty cute for each other and have a good dynamic
Its established that Kris and Noelle were very good childhood friends, and even though its hard to pinpoint their relationship now, they still very clearly care for one another and consistently go out of their way to help one another. (Also though I said besides the snowgrave route, ill still be using it for reference). For Noelle she still always wants to help Kris, first scenes we see of her she offers to ask the teacher for a trio since Kris was late. She also mentions how Kris knows her the best, Noelle is very much a weirdo, maybe not as much as Kris but she does love games, horror movies and creepy pastas. Shes interested in things that scare her and wants to be braver. Though Kris is controlled now, whenever Kris was little and pranked Noelle I like to think that Kris knew about Noelles situation and wanted to help her. Kris helps Noelle to be more of her true self, and despite Noelle being unsure if they’re friends now (likely to the whole Dess situation and their familys being seperated), shes still always fond of Kris and knows Kris always wants the best for her. She also knows Kris the best out of everyone, able to tell whenever theyre not themselves and does show concern. Also Noelle was so easily manipulated in the snowgrave route because she trusts Kris so much, she believed that Kris is just helping her get stronger and they would never do anything to harm her.
For Kris to Noelle, though we cant see it alot in the main route we do go more into it in snowgrave. Its likely that Noelle was Kris first friend, Kris has been described as sorta a menace growing up. Noelle is always really understanding and patient for others, even for berdly who probably makes her uncomfortable alot, she still stays his friend and helps him with his grades. Those aspects are something Kris needs especially with their condition right now. Its also seen throughout the snowgrave route, Kris very much cares about Noelle aswell. After chapter 2 snowgrave route, Noelle mentions Kris coming over to their house, reassuring her that everything will be ok. Even in their souless weak state, they go out of their way to walk to her house, probably climb her gate, and say sorry. And in chapter 4 snowgrave, this is the most we ever see them frustrated at our actions. Their mood becomes less happier, theyre frantic to stop the soul making everything worse, and becomes more violent, kicking us constantly and biting their hand from us doing choices they do not agree to. My theory why their relationship deteriorated was a part of this reason, cause they were scared that the souls actions would hurt her.
NOW WHY KRUSIELLE IS THE BEST OUT OF ALL OF THEM
Ive already gone through all of each others relationship so ill just go over why adding the character to the different ships is the best option
Suselle - Kris is the bridge for them, Susie and Noelle didnt start hanging out till Kris was there to help them. Yes maybe at some point they wouldve started hanging out by themselves, but Susie only started softening up and being ok with others because they were friend with Kris first. Right now, Kris knows the both of them the best. If Kris does have romantic feelings for any of them, it just feels super sad.
Krusie - Even if theyre lovable stupid weirdos together, we need someone in this relationship who will be mature and not lead them to accidentally kill themelves. Ralsei is originally this role but considering Ralsei may or may not be related to Asriel its sorta weird without confirming. Also Ralseis pushover when it comes to them (love u Ralsei sorry). Noelle is the best person for this. Shes smart, non judgmental, and though shes also a pushover shes actively trying to be better and most likely less more bold the more comfortable she is with the person. In the long run Kris and Susie will probably end up burning everything if Noelle isnt there to help them be more mature. Noelle will also likely be a mediator, Kris doesnt talk about their problems and Susie needs communication. Noelle is mature enough to help the both of them.
Kriselle - Even though theyre childhood friends, they both seem to be very avoidant about their situation right now. Like how Susie is in the fun gang, shes always the one being bold and being a beacon of hope when Kris and Ralsei is pessimistic. I like to see it as Susies the only one out of the three who would point out they didnt want pickles in their burger. Susie is also likely to convince Noelle to talk about Noelles and Kris's damaged friendship, Susies always curious about them being close and even though Noelle dismisses it, Susies bold enough to make Noelle face the problem.
Conclusion:
Shut the fuck up, they are all good ships.

Now im not trying to debate on whether or not there is actually going to be more than one ending or not because, frankly? I dont even think thats all that important atm
What i AM interested in, is the fact that your choices do matter perhaps not because of the ending, but because of how they affect the journey you take to get to that ending. Which would actually be even crazier if it does all somehow lead to one ending with all the shit that went down in the last chapter (no weird route spoilers bc you really do just have to watch it i cant describe it at all)
Anyways this all got me thinking abt Gerson for some reason and how i think a lot of his dialogue is actually really relevant for the plot of deltarune. Specifically when he talks about the “Lord of the Hammer” story that was written based off the prophecy.
All of the quotes he uses to describe each chapter are actually pretty accurate to whats happened if you dont take it too literally
(ie. chapter 1 the fun gang stopping the chaos king and “the dragon” aka susie from going down a dark path, chapter 2 the fun gang saving the queen from starting the roaring ((or saving her from berdly in the chariot scene which i personally think is more accurate and funnier)), chapter 3 traveling between islands and discovering a darkworld of old lost forgotten toys and memories Kris had in their childhood (and just the literal darkworld being made of islands and themed around kris’ past), chapter 4 having gerson (the smither) give you a weapon ((its funny how chapter 4 matches least to its description because gersons all about not caring about predetermined story lines)), and chapter 5 being a literal melting pot mess of jealousy from all characters (seriously, why tf was that chapter so messy emotion and relationship wise jesus christ small town bullshit really goes crazy))
Whats even more interesting though, is what he says about the rest of the chapters
“…What happens next?”
“Gehehe! Who knows?”
“There was only one more chapter…After that,”
“It all stopped.”
“That next book, it never did get written.”
“The story, it became so grand, so overwhelming,”
“Some say it swallowed up the author himself.”
“The ones who could write the next, the youth, the pen was lying there for them to pick up.”

“…they never did.”

“But…there is one thing that can overwrite the dark.”
“A white pen, known as hope.”
This may be inaccurate but i believe that this can allude to one of two things,
Either A) the roaring DOES happen at some point
Or B) We’re going to be forced to go into the depths and seal them somehow (possibly finding where Dess went)
The wording “it all stopped” and, “the story became so grand so overwhelming. Some say it swallowed up the author himself.” To ME, feels like it means the story will abandon the prophecy completely. Not in the sense of the roaring or anything but i mean in the way of the roles being so liberated and morphed that it completely breaks the limitations of it.
That and the bit of hope being the only thing to overwrite the dark, makes me think that perhaps the ending will be rewritten by the hope of the fun gang in some way or another, saving the world and all that jazz.
But, who knows! Maybe there will be different endings! Maybe the ending doesnt necessarily have to happen with you? Maybe it doesnt matter at all.
All i know is that predicting deltarune is practically impossible because there’s always something happening that you’re not in the know about. Your knowledge is limited to whatever kris is doing and usually to whatever they allow you to know anyhow.
The thing that matters most before these last two chapters is the kind of journey you decide to take to whatever ending is in store and how those decisions affect everyone around you. And maybe that’s all that matters.
(Ok but seriously if Kris doesnt get a good ending or closure of some kind i WILL cry my eyes out toby please spare them 💔)
