So my partner is watching the first episode of neverafter and I'm noticing something during the intro for Pinocchio,

The stepmother asks the children for names of their fathers right?but the sound effects played are women screaming and Brennan very specifically said they heard men screaming, the fathers screaming.

What if she was killing the mothers? So thay she could become step mother to every child in the village.

Also another note tied to dnd lore. Hags are considered fairys in the game and the way hags reproduce is by eating little children and then new hags. So the act of eating children is very tied to this type of fairy.

Obviously the stepmother is a hag and Pinocchio is an archfey warlock right??

This is just like my theory brains sort of spinning. I'm really obsessed with Pinocchio and the stepmother and I love how Brennan made her this part of so many diffrent stories (Cinderella, snow white, and now Pinocchio)
