Aro Ace & Aroace flag variant set

Here is a collection of Asexual vs. Aromantic vs. Aroace equivalent flags for Ace Week! As mirroring orientations in sexual and romantic spheres these are nearly identical save for their defining colors.

It would be swell if the aromantic and asexual flags had the same number of stripes - be it 4 or 5. Less is more, so I vote 4 since the extra light-green in the aromantic 5-stripe flag is the same as agender's sole representative color. It unnecessarily complicates things for those of us who are both aromantic and agender, especially if we wish to use multi a-spec flags and gear. There are lots of variants out there so use what you like best!

Aromantic - dark green

Asexual - purple / violet

Agender - light green

Aroace - blue(& orange) or dark green/purple

Trying something on

I'm trying on the label of Demiromantic. I've realized that it's really hard for me to be interested in dating someone I'm not already friends with and I pretty much adapted a "fake it till you make it" approach from a young age. I have always been more likely to develop a crush on people I was already friends with, and since discovering the split-attraction model 4 years ago, realized that all my "non-friend crushes" were limited to aesthetic attraction. So I'm gonna go ahead and say I'm Demiromantic, in addition to being Graysexual and Bi. I'll see how that feels and change it again if I need to. 💜💟🖤

Hi. I have identified as lesbian my whole life. I am 58 now and single for several years. I believe that I now fit the spectrum of demi graysexual. I’m not sure how I go about finding others in my area to talk to and meet with. I live in Cincinnati Ohio. Thank you for this website. I don’t feel so alone now.

I’m so happy to hear this. I love this. It makes me so happy to see people who find and discover more things about themselves. I’m glad to hear that demi-graysexual can work for you. We have many DemiGraces within the ace community.

Sometimes a lot of college’s have many open and friendly LGBTQIA events and organizations. I’d check to see if any local colleges or universities in your area have anything. Sometimes a simple look on their website or Facebook page can show you if they have anything. 

I did a quick search and found a LGBT friendly organization called Rainbow Cincinnati, it looks like they have a Facebook page too. There is also another lgbt group called Cincinnati Pride. Don’t be afraid if you don’t see a lot of aces there though. Many LGBTQ places are very welcoming of Aces. There also appears to be a section on Ace meet ups on meetup.com.

There are a few ace “dating” sites here. I have some more websites about ace meets ups here. There is also an Aces by Location list that was put together by theasexualityblog. Feel free to add your name there too; there appears to be quite a few people from Ohio and even Cincinnati. As with anything on the internet just be careful and stay safe.
