Its a dumb one though..

ANYWAY! different genshin characters reacting to you mispronouncing their names ex: Barbatos gets turned into 'barberabatatos' or stuff like that, or the old anemo archon (the one during rebellion times) just getting watered down to 'tyrant'because "Holy fuck that is a mouthful how do you all even S A Y that??"

Also also! You just forgetting how to words sometimes. Ex: misreading there as the re or something

I THINK THEY'D FIND IT HILARIOUS

Venti refuses to say his own Archon name correctly anymore. He's Barbarabatos now. He sees it like a silly nickname you personally gave him, even if you didn't mean to. Like an inside joke one shares with friends. That means he's your friend now, right?

Others find it less amusing, like Zhongli or Scaramouche. Zhongli feels really bad for you because he can tell how anxious you get speaking in front of people. He does everything he can to help make it a little easier on you, even going so far as to suggest someone else read out your statements in your place.

Scaramouche, on the other hand, is so offended and shocked. When he speaks with you for the first time, biting his usually sharp tongue so as to not earn himself your wrath, you mess up reading the itinerary for the day. You pronounce his name just fine, as well as Tartaglia's and Dottore's, but the word "Harbinger" just. doesn't click in your mind.

You stare at it for a second before trying your best, and you end up pronouncing it like Bing. Har-bing-er. Nobody else says anything, but he can tell they noticed based on the quick glances they gave to each other. Nobody dares to correct you, so you go on saying it like that until you see him again at a banquet.

You introduce him as Scaramouche, the Balladeer and the Tsaritsa's sixth Harbinger to your guests. Venti (who you've grown pretty close with due to how friendly he is with you) giggles and pokes you in the side.

"I think it's pronounced Har-binj-er, Your Grace," he says with a big smile. You blush and glance at the other Harbingers, who only nod. Scaramouche stares at him, shocked someone would dare to correct you in such a formal setting. Instead of being upset with him, though, you cross your arms and pout in Scara's direction.

"You let me go on saying it wrong all this time and you didn't tell me?!" you yell, face bright red. "And now I've embarrassed myself, I can't believe this," you say, faking being upset with him.

He frantically tries to apologize, clearly not understanding that you're only being dramatic. You and Venti both chuckle, offering him a seat beside you. "Oh, I guess I forgive you," you say with a laugh. "But really, if I mess up like that I'd prefer if you told me."

Naturally, in regards to the Creator, lively celebrations are held for crucial events during the year. Their birthday, historical accomplishments, or even just to be thankful for all they’ve done. It seems like nobody can hold back during those times. Exotic food, colorful streets, and especially the fireworks from Inazuma. All in good fun and worship, right?

Well, except when they discover that God!Reader is scared of fireworks...

Inazuma in particular would be very shocked and very apologetic about the way they've celebrated. Every major holiday warrants fireworks partly because it sounds like thunder from their Archon, praising you with her element in the skies. And to find out you're actually terrified of fireworks, it makes their stomachs turn. They feel so bad! All this time they thought they were praising you to the high heavens and really you were afraid of the way they worshipped you.

They first realize how afraid you are of fireworks (and by extension thunder) because for the first time, it stormed above the palace. Everything is fine, in fact you even enjoyed listening to the wind pattering against your windows, right up until a loud clap of thunder shook the entire room. The way you jolt in your seat shocks everyone around you.

Someone steps up to you and puts a hand on your shoulder, Diluc. He'd been spending the very dreary day with you to discuss a shortage after a swarm of crystalflies ate almost half their growth for the season, and he doesn't miss the gasp that escapes you.

You brush it off that it isn't a big deal and this is too important to put off, but the weather distracts you so much you wouldn't get much done anyway.

Word of your fear spreads pretty quickly, and when you arrive in Inazuma for a visit, they greet you not with loud fireworks, but with bright lamps and colorful banners decorated everywhere. Ritou looks just as beautiful and lit up as it would with the fireworks, but it's way, way quieter for your comfort. Yoimiya herself meets you in the docks and apologizes for the hastily put together decorations. They'd been planning the festivities for a while and had only just caught wind of your phobia of fireworks, so they had to change everything pretty late in the game. Instead of the usual sparklers and fireworks, everyone has long, flowy ribbons dyed in all your favorite colors. Some had already learned a few tricks with them, twisting them in pretty shapes in the air and looping them around their limbs.

Loud fireworks are completely banned until you leave the island. They usually celebrate this way, but it can wait until after you go back to your palace. Your comfort and safety is worth more to them, so they're more than happy to celebrate in another way.

I practically wrote hoyoverse every time they asked for a survey that I wanted you to come back and I’m so happy you did! I dunno if you can hear me laugh every time you open a treasure chest and say “thank Barbatos! Wait a minute.”

I hope it doesn’t embarrass or disturb you hehe. Or I hope my singing while looking for artifacts doesn’t disturb you either.

You are a joy to have in my team and even if I’m not that good at using you yet I’m getting better and better. Thank you so much for coming home. I hope to finally get you in the teapot soon!
