an illustration for Depth Cues, Issue 3 - Bloom.

Minari hit close to home for me in many respects - I wanted to highlight this scene in particular. the film did so well in portraying the immigrant experience from the perspective of the adults, as well as the children. though it was only a small moment in the film, the exchanged dialogue made me feel seen.

hats off to both this film and the editors over at Depth Cues for their beautiful works.

VR keeps shifting between motion parallax and shape-from-shading, trying to suss out my biological sex from how I read depth cues. That kind of privacy violation is illegal, but I'd guess few enough users notice.
