I initially drew these as a joke but I do think there's something palpable about (1) being too "busy" to transition, which Dera most definitely is lol, and (2) the freedom that comes with shedding the role placed upon you by your family. Dera's pretty upfront about his gripes with being tossed into the Higashi ring by Roei and doesn't seem to fond about sharing his past alr so I'm taking that shit and running.

Also: guy who likes to say "ara ara" uses an androgynous name over his legal name..??? why r u so transgender.......

I have less to say about Hana but I like the name Hiro for him. Hiro Danno... In my ideal world, derahana is a t4t queer platonic relationship... It is honestly the only way I can see them functioning as a real couple.
