Autumn worked on the dishes in the sink after her and her long term boyfriend had finished up with dinner. Autumn and Greg had been dating for 2 years now and well, she couldn’t bring herself to leave him.. no matter the circumstances. A year ago, he started drinking and getting angry over the littlest things. She knew tonight was going to be the same as always when he walked in the door and immediately grabbed a drink.

Greg walked up behind Autumn wrapping his arm around her waist kissing at her neck his breath spilling out the smell of vodka. Autumn cringed at his kisses rather than melting into his arms like she used to “Greg.. I can’t do this tonight.. I just can’t” She said trying to nudge him off. “Don’t tell me what you can and can’t do. That’s up to me.” He said harshly to her gripping her hips tighter causing her to whimper slightly “Oh you like that?” He asked as autumn shook her head “Greg I need to get these done.” She tried to make out as she felt his fingertips digging into her skin once again. Finally, Autumn was tired of it. She turned around shoving Greg off of her “Stop. Go to bed Greg, now.  I’ll come up once I’m done with these-“ It was then that Autumn was cut off by the feeling of his hand across her face “Don’t talk to me like that!” He yelled at her as he gripped her hair “You listen to me woman. You’re under my rules. I pay for this house, I own you” He yelled at her spiting in her face. “Let go of me..” She begged tears welling up in her eyes as she tried to squirm out of his grasp “I’m tired of your back talk!” He yelled to her lapping her once again as he let go of her hair “Now, Go up to our room and get undressed. I expect you to be waiting for me.” He said shoving her back. Autumn shook her head slowly “No.” She said under her breath softly “No greg” She said looking up at him “No?” He chuckled as he picked up a glass throwing it down onto the floor breaking it. “You don’t tell me no!” He said before gripping a plate off the counter and smashing it over her head. Autumn fell to the ground, a few of the shards of the glass moving into her thighs. Crawling away from him autumn felt the tears falling “Okay.. Okay. Go upstairs, I’m going to get cleaned up.. and then I’ll be there” She stammered as she slid away from him further. Greg nodded at the girl and grinned as he walked up the stairs.

It was in that moment that Autumn realized she couldn’t take this anymore. Autumn wasn’t allowed to have many friends, but the one she had befriended lately was the neighbor next door. Whenever Greg was at work and she had yard work to do,  Chris would make friendly conversation. She knew where he had to go at this point. Grabbing her purse and her phone she made her way towards the door, trying her best to get the glass out of her legs before she left. Making her way out the door he closed it slowly before she snuck across the yard knocking lightly on Chris’ door. Moving her hair over a new bloody cut on her forehead she tried to come up with an idea on how she would explain this to him, without making it obvious.

our own little heaven || demax

Demi had been actually going back to school at NYU with Max. The only thing was that they weren't really going to school. They had found the perfect store. A record store. It was called Downtown Music Gallery. Demi fell in love with the selection of records and the small amount of actual customers. In fact, they grew used to the fact that they were the few that came in daily. Sometimes, when the boss was out, they were still allowed in. Maybe it was because of Demi. Or maybe it was because he knew they were a gay couple.... and a hot gay couple at that.
