Installation Studies

During the production of the Resistance Drawings I started to document the process with a digital video camera. As it was as much about the action/process as the finished drawing. While this was done mainly for documentation i began to see how it could in fact be integrated with the Desk Study prints.

This video shows the investigation of how to project the process back onto the desk. It highlighted consideration of the surroundings when producing video work (visual clutter and background noise, Video Quality).

Ghostly and ethereal the surface is destroyed figure and ground merge the desk marks the arm as much as the hand the paper, a notion of volume is bought out by the process. the surface not solid or two dimensional, a holographic quality of rendering the surface as faux 3d.
