why are the RPGMaker horror games always the scariest
I thought Yume Nikki it was the coolest thing ever! I fell in love with the contrast between cute, retro pixel art and atmospheric horror and surrealism. I think I had nightmares for a week thanks to the takofuusen and uboa. And monoko. And those witch girls.
Although Yume Nikki introduced me to RPGMaker in general, what got me into game development were horror games like Ib and the Witch's House. I wanted to make a horror game of my own but I failed miserably and realized that horror was not my thing. I didn't want to scare people and I was terrible at it since my drawings were just not scary enough. Then I saw games like To the Moon, Libretta, OneShot, and Undertale, and I liked the unique and meta way the games told a story. The thing about those games is that the story can only be communicated through a game. It would never work as a comic, or a movie/show/video, or a visual novel. I wanted to make a game that fully utilizes the medium as a whole that makes the player feel....some sort of emotion...at the end of it.

Remake Poll
Hello!! I want to thank you all so much for 144 followers!!
Also I’m sorry for being offline a lot. I been working on things like school and other game projects. So the only thing I have been doing was either re-sharing things. But I will be able to get back into my update mood. But I wanted to make this post since I made a poll for Desolate village remake!!
The poll is just a few questions about the game and what should get improve. I made a poll since, I can’t read and watch every YouTube let’s play. Since the data will not be the same. So I made a poll so I can hear what everyone things about on the same questions. The poll won’t be close until I get to work on this the remake.
I’m taking a break from desolate village, the break would end when I finished my huge secret project, catch up with pixel art sprites for another project. But I will draw little doddle of the game. I just want you guys to know that I won’t be making the remake at this time, but hopefully at around November of this year or January of next year I will be able to work on the remake. (It might take longer but I hope you guys understand).
But until then I will be having this poll up. If you have a opinion about the game, please do this poll. It would mean a lot since I want to make this game 100 times better then the original.

New "RPgmaker" OCs
!! Please read my Carrd before interacting !!
I'm a bit nervous including two indie RPG games in a single post, but my self inserts' backstories were both similar, so I decided to list them here.
My Desolate Village OC is a squirrel, who appears to be anxious and a worrywart, and constantly tries to keep her house clean. Although she can be afraid of her surroundings, she gets along with those who are kind to her, and she has a crush on Rabbit. Her worries seem to melt away whenever she talks with him. She's actually a human with red hair, green eyes, fair skin, and a pink outfit.
My Dream of Gluttony OC's name is Peach or Apricot, and she has reddish pink + light orange ombre hair, green eyes, fair skin, and wears a light green + pink outfit with a light green leaf-shaped bow in her hair. She spends more of her time in the Dairy District than the Fruit District, and she mainly keeps to herself, trying to stay out of everyone's way. She also can be afraid of her surroundings.
Both OCs were initially excited to move into these towns, believing that they were just fun roleplaying experiences, but find out too late about the true nature of them. They play along with the others out of fear, but are also willing to help other humans escape the towns if they want my inserts to accompany them.
Desolate Village Is OUT!!!
I finally finished the game, I’m sorry of the huge lack of updates I was mostly working on the game, and school. But I never stop working on the game. The game will download right here ===> Desolate Village Link
