Sweaters are the most fun thing to knit in my opinion. However, one only needs so many sweaters. So in an attempt to pace myself, I have decided to knit gloves instead. I do actually really need gloves, and they're a poject on which I can use up leftover yarns.

One glove in, and it's been simpler than I expected - though it does help to be moderately numerate, and it's hard not to get in one's own way when juggling needles and stitch holders for the fingers. I am following this this fantastic guide.

I think the fingers look like stracciatella ice cream :)

Destashing projects whoo

Can definitely see why this should get blocked at the end. The yarn I'm using is very stretchy, and somewhere between DK and worsting weight so it pulls weird as you can see.

Pattern is Candle Flame Scarf from Doris Formby. Super beginner friendly and very pretty to use for scarves and panels!

Woke up with tonsillitis after looking after my godson at the weekend (why are toddlers such germ factories?!) so I feel super gross but I have managed to almost finish this scarf!

I really didn’t the yarn would go this far, but it is long enough to be a short scarf and I am calling it a win.

However as you can see there’s the double thickness bit that I started with which is so buttery I decided to keep it. Do i:

Unravel it and de-ply it to add to the rest of the scarf

Kitchener stitch the 1ply and 2 ply bit together

Something else (tell me)

i don’t have pegs but i do have a sliding tie rack! of course i have a sliding tie rack. i’ve managed to make this far more complicated than under-over needs to be. There was thought of adding strings at one stage but my mind sobbed “Stop, just stop...”
