Okay so my friend cursed me with this knowledge, and now I curse y'all in return. I really pulled a Holt on that one, how the tables have turned. I'm usually the Jake to his Holt.
I really really love the art in the Cayde's 6 comic (and am incredibly grateful for the hand references I get from Banshee), but the fact the artist never includes Cayde's orange mouth lights makes it a little uncanny (if a blatantly robot face can be). Even when he's definitely talking his cheeks are black pits o.o
I'm curious to see how future installments will look if we ever get any.
Today I will mostly be losing my mind over how gorgeous this woman is.

Here are some of my initial thoughts on the new Destiny comic (Spoilers if you haven’t read it yet, obviously):
Ikora isn’t the type to put down what she believes in, but her faith in Osiris seems to have been stronger than her faith in her own beliefs at the time. We have some dialogue in the game where she mentions an “Osiris level of perfection”. While Sagira put that down when it was brought up, it’s clear that Ikora believed in it for a long time. It’s her faith in him that made her initially bend over backwards for him, giving him the benefit of the doubt instead of working harder to do what she thought was right.
Forgive me if I’m entirely wrong here (I never bought the Rise of Iron DLC), but I wonder where in the timeline this is in comparison to when SIVA wiped out the rest of the iron lords. Is there a possibility of this being before that? Because we see Lord Saladin being the titan vanguard. I feel like if SIVA happened while he was a vanguard, he would’ve tried to leave fairly quickly, potentially giving Zavala some brief training for the position, but, well. His watch was eternal, right? I don’t know that he would’ve joined the vanguard after SIVA wiped out the Iron lords.
HMMM, ANDAL TALKING ABOUT CAYDE GETTING INTEL ON THE FALLEN, SPECIFICALLY THE KELL OF THE HOUSE OF KINGS. We already know that Taniks was a mercenary, unaffiliated with any house, who was hired to kill Andal. What if Andal was having his hunters fuck shit up in the House of Kings, and they are the ones who hired Taniks? I wonder if we’ll see Andal’s demise over the course of these comics.
Initially based on some various scraps of lore, I kind of thought that the speaker was actually Saint-14′s father? That’s been pretty disproven. Now what I see is that the guy’s just a big ol’ titan-teddy bear who just really cares about his fellow guardians. I think at the end of the day, he wants people to be safe, and he’s willing to go to some very far lengths for that. There’s a lot to analyze here, but based on the fact that he went after Osiris, I think its safe to say that we will be seeing more on him in the comics. So. I’m gonna wait for that.
Here I was, during all of the first destiny game, thinking that the speaker was a Soft Boy. Based on D2, and the comic, I think now that he’s a Frustrated Dad who doesn’t like putting up with drama. (Osiris is soooo grounded). Anyways. It seems like Osiris’s ego caused him to not actually communicate with the speaker. He thought he could handle things, and that it would sort itself out. Not only was he dead wrong, but that’s also what caused this whole mess. If he not only talked to other guardians, but also genuinely listened to what they had to say, things might have gone very differently. Still, based on what I remember from the game, he cared about being the smartest person in the room, so... I doubt that he would have done that.
