It’s been killing me not to put the finishing touches on this project but unfortunately the lighting fixtures were delayed and the weather has not been in our favor. Hopefully this week we will get a warm enough day to wrap up the electrical and plumbing. One of the biggest struggles when renovating a bathroom is square footage. You can only fit so many people in such a small space. Today Charlie installed the shiplap in the kids bathroom. Our tile installer grouted the master bathroom. Brian and I built this vanity for the kids bathroom. It's nothing fancy but it's going to integrate perfectly into the space and we are going to wrap the ship lap around the side. Paint doesn't last on a sharp edge so we rounded over these jamb extensions for our window trim. It is a small detail that will keep this job looking good in the years to come. We wanted to create a transition from light to dark above the range in this kitchen. We started by taping out on the workbench the area. Then basically we started dropping tiles on top of each other until we reach the desired result. After 15 days of work this kitchen is almost completed. This project was for the first customer I ever had. We had a very tight budget to make this project happen. I love taking on high end projects that use exotic materials but at the end of the day I am a renovation contractor and my goal is to please the customer.
