Jesse’d only recently arrived at Gibraltar, and he had to admit, it was far busier than anything he had expected. That recall must’ve reached quite a few to bring this number back to the Watchpoint. Though, he supposed, if they had reached him as well after bailing on Overwatch before it had officially crumbled (though in his defense he stuck with them until the organization was too busy with internal fighting to even do any actual good in the world), it meant they were reaching for basically anyone- not just the few that had managed to be even more stubborn than Jesse.
The greetings were nice, really, old friends and acquaintances from a good time in his life- difficult, yes, there was a lot to learn when suddenly switching from illegal arms dealing to insuring world safety- but it was good and he grew from it. The hello’s never lasted any longer than a quick catch-up though- everyone was far too busy to do much more than that. Jesse understood. There were a few familiar faces he had not seen yet, though, and it while wasn’t so much a worry or longing, Jesse did want to know whether or not they had made it back in one piece as well- that he’d still be interacting with the same good ol’ members along with the new. At least he knew where to seek out at least one of those familiar faces.
He’d found time to spare on the second day, and spent it reading signs and meandering halls (Gibraltar was not a place he had frequented more than once or twice, so the layout was still a complete mystery to him), following vague signs towards where he hoped the medical bay would actually be. He didn’t mind the slight maze of passageways, after all it gave time to thought, and despite appearances, Jesse rather valued that time, but he was rather hoping to react his destination at some point rather than come back empty handed.
He found it just as he had expected it to look- pristine, bright, and with a very obviously sterile smell. It was almost comforting, if he’d have been honest, even if Jesse himself wasn’t exactly any of those things. His time with Overwatch along with his nature meant he visited similar wards quite frequently, and more often than not, it ended up spending some quality time with a certain Dr. Zeigler, and being reminded of those times was a bit more nostalgic than he’d originally anticipated. He took a moment to peer through the window into the bay, searching for any signs of life, before he heard movement- though it was out of his line of sight. Pulling away, he followed the wall along to the door, and rapped against the door frame with the back of metal knuckles, tilting his body a little further into the room, “Doc, ya in here?”
