Endlich sind die Filme für die Adox Golf angekommen. Jetzt kann ich sie also zum ersten Mal ausprobieren. Bleibt nur zu Hoffen, dass mich weder die Technik, noch mein fotografisches Geschick im Stich lässt. Bei den Filmen handelt es sich um Kodiak Ektar 100 Farbnegative im 120er Mittelformat.

Das Ding stand Jahrelang bei uns unbeachtet auf dem Dachboden und ist die erste voll-manuelle Analogkamera, die ich in meinen Händen halte. Ich bin gespannt

Things from learning a second language in school.

I took German my senior year in high school because it was the first year it was available, things that have happened from it. 

A phrase that I love which is “Du ist die gegenteil klug” came about because during class I forgot the word for “dumb”. I did, however, remember the words for “opposite of” and “smart”. 

For the most part, I almost always count in German, it feels more natural than counting in English. 

Multiple times over the past six years I have accidentally answered someone in German without realizing it. 

Last time was this last Thanksgiving when I tried telling my parents we had eight people but only seven chairs. 

I apparently throw German words into my sentences when speaking, without noticing. 

Since I graduated, I haven’t known anyone else who speaks German, so I feel like I’m losing it. 

When my brother went to Germany he took my class notebook and would occasionally call me to ask questions. 

I can follow people who fluently speak German but I have to pay extra attention. 

I understand and have a better appreciation for people who don’t have English as a first language.
