In this drawing, there are obvious Schongauer influences.  We find, however, in the woman’s expression much of the harshness seen in portraits by Michael Wolgemut, as may be proved by a comparison with the latter’s Portrait of Ursula Hans Tucher (1478).

There would thus be grounds for considering Durer’s master to be the author of this impressive drawing.
